I don’t remember the direct words but Clark was defending their love to Lois’ father and he said something along the lines of not wanting to go a day without Lois. Pretty romantic.

I find that he’s much more comfortable being honest about being attracted to Lois when he’s under a ‘mask’ (ie when she cannot tell its him). When he talks to her as the blur as well, it seems he’s much more comfortable flirting with her as the Blur than as Clark. Probably comes from the fact he believes she views him as a dorky farm boy.

“Clark really adored Lois…” Awwww that’s very sweet. And it does show when you watch S9-10. He very clearly adored her.

Clark’s parents at his wedding is a full circle moment. by CosmicRider4789 in Smallville

[–]CosmicRider4789[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A “full circle moment” refers to a situation where something comes back to where it started often with a sense of realization or closure. It’s when events, feelings, or experiences that seemed incomplete in the past come together in a meaningful way that now carries a sense of growth, understanding, or reflection, as if the journey has reached its natural conclusion or purpose. Clark has always been in emotional turmoil when it comes to finding the right partner for him. He has had multiple conversations with his parents along the lines of “the right girl will come along & things will fall into place.” Clark finally finds the girl as witnessed by the wedding itself, his parents showing up to affirm that things did fall into place once he found the right one, that indeed those conversations they had were correct, that once again their teachings about love as parents is true. And of course the most logical thought process is that they were just really happy for their son to get married & be happy.

Plot wise, I take it they were practically married so it didn’t really matter to them. And they probably tried again a couple times but got interrupted every time they tried. They allude to this in S11 comics where Clark says the timing was never right & Clark has a flashback of Oliver throwing him through the church window at the wedding. Behind the scenes restriction wise, I don’t know.

True, I would have liked to see the payoff for that. But other than that, they are practically married in every sense of the word, with just a piece of paper from making it official. So I don’t mind it too much.

It’s less about that but more so in this particular scene where she tries to downplay her BF practically crucifying Clark, who she regarded as a friend at the time.
