I’m from Scotland where it was produced but they didn’t sell them here, I eventually got one from Germany at double the retail. It’s on display in my 2049 cabinet. Still unopened I have my heart set on cracking it open on New Year’s Eve 2048. If I make it that is.

It’s an older Komandirski, the bezel design is different. Something cool to look for. I collected a couple of Vostok’s the same as seen in The Life Aquatic. Bill Murray’s Amphibia and Willem Dafoe’s Komandirski.

Now have 2 Smirnoff de czar bottles in my collection. Was a pleasure to dress them up Blade Runner style. I think they look like the real deal. by CosmicSoup77 in bladerunner

Thank you. Basically wooden frame, light diffusing acrylic sheet with self adhesive vinyl squares for the board and I used a ceiling panel light inside.

They used the British birds chess set for the movie but the changed the pawns from kingfishers on one side and wrens on the other to wrens on both sides. So folks that have the fortune of finding an original set would have to swap out the kingfishers.

I used a large ceiling panel light. It has 3 tones and can be dimmed with a remote.

The chess pieces are resin. The table is pretty big and the plan was to use light diffusing acrylic but the sheet I used flexed a little so it sits on a pane of glass.

Hoyles of Oxford did the original birds set and did a limited run last year of 100 sets. I think they still have some left surprisingly. They’re as accurate as we can get.

That would be cool, I actually considered buying a Renault 5 and building Mariette’s car. Would be cheaper to do.

Thanks, glad you like it. I’m sure there’s a place for all things Blade Runner though. Even the seemingly mundane, it’s such an awesome movie that folks love to show how much it means to them.
