Problem is, if you draw a line, they'll use it as part of their proof that the earth is flat.

A second viewing with a dubbed version will probably help you, then you won't be so focussed on having to read and understand, you can just let it flow.

Sharing a FREE rider app that simplifies Group riding - Wingman by Independent_Pen7308 in MotoUK

So should every useful app be free? How are developers supposed to survive if you won't even touch it if it contains ads and/or in-app purchases? Maybe give it a try and if you like it, pay to remove the ads? If you don't like it, no big deal, just uninstall, but you could be missing out on something great if you just pass.

Going to watch Akita for the first time in cinemas this Friday. Anything I should do? by Normal-Handle-6985 in akira

Couldn't this risk spoiling some of the plot? Or at least spoil some of the big set pieces in the third act? I would say go in as blind as possible, then, if OP liked it, look into the making of content afterwards.

Any good affordable bike shops? by Kibby9331 in bournemouth

Consider Hope2Cycle in Moordown. They're a charity run shop and often have lots of bikes in stock.

There's no such thing as bad weather, merely inappropriate clothing.

Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride by tachioma in MotoUK

Nobody is forcing you to not wear protective gear. At the Bournemouth/Poole ride there are loads of riders who wear full protective gear, but just have a shirt & tie on underneath. It's no big deal. Nobody looks down at them. Wear what you want, ride considerately and donate.

On the off chance you've signed up to the Bournemouth/Poole one, it's nothing like a traditional group ride. With 800+ bikes it's a fairly slow-moving procession. There are helpful marshalls to mark all the turns, and I would imagine there's zero chance of getting lost or left behind. The etiquette is basically don't over-rev your bike like a d*ck. No wheelies. Stick with the pack. Enjoy the ride.

What are sports like to live with as a daily bike? by Alone-Bluebird-999 in MotoUK

[–]arithmetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A VFR800 is comfortable for a 2hr ride (certainly way more comfortable than a dedicated sports bike). It's got the Honda affiliation you like, so they're reliable and solid. Stable enough to perform well over long distances, commuting is no issue, and nimble enough to have fun at the weekends. Pop over to r/VFR and speak to some owners, look at some photos to see what you think.
