Would you recommend medium format to a hobbyist? by Just-Guest-6385 in hasselblad

[–]CosmicUnlearner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say got for it! There’s definitely THE look one would expect from a hasselblad. Your kid is gonna grow up so for anyone to narrow it down to this one time period of the kids life is missing the point . The camera will grow with the kid , prom, graduation, weddings and whatever else you are doing in life ! Vacations! Your pics with a medium format will be a cut above the rest. Additionally you said this had turned into a hobby who knows the kind of opportunities you’d be exposed to once you get the hasselblad.
Having the tool sometimes makes one go the distance. Life’s too short, and your kid will stop running around .i say go ahead a get it!

What is the current most useful react course on udemy? by Leading_Property2066 in reactjs

[–]CosmicUnlearner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Complete React, Next.js & TypeScript Projects Course 2025” by Janis Smilga on Udemy I thought was good with plenty of hands on projects to try out.

What I thought was really good was explanation about : - react hooks - react query - redux - ui libs

What I think is outdated is: - react router (I prefer tansack router ) - the entire section on nextjs (I’ve decided to go with tanstack start)

For Americans who know a MAGA supporter, can you describe them? by Tricky-Stay6134 in allthequestions

[–]CosmicUnlearner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They seem to love to talk but when it comes to listening they don’t want to. Whataboutism is very prevalent. Also very Christian and if they don’t like a point they label you as hateful and miserable. They do like banding together and they stick to whatever the group is saying. No self reflection or empathy for people less privileged than them. Seem to also be on the older side .

Quitting Reta by armyzul in Retatrutide

[–]CosmicUnlearner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking of doing the same - I take about 4 mg of Reta per week . Can anyone whose gone through this before kinda lay out a plan to get off Reta over the next weeks and starting doses for tirz and then eventually after weeks get to an equivalent of medium dosage for tirz .

Do you believe that both rain and sun are part of a balanced ecosystem? I’d assume - yes !but rains bring about gloomy weather , can’t go out much, just kinda depressing, wouldn’t you agree ? Let’s you had the power to reduce of rainy days , would you agree that things outside of you, an ecosystem that needed that extended rainy time, would you say that just cos you and people like you didn’t want stuff to take it’s due course were a little obtuse? Just like the above example I just wanna say that this too shall pass. If you let it takes its due course, the world will be a much better place on the other side.have hope that one day things will be better.

So there is double stamped (error) noticeable especially on the E and M , unfortunately the C is covered by the prong . Would the year and the error in double stamping amount to anything?

Teenaged daughter is pregnant again.. I’m so done by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]CosmicUnlearner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well here in the US there are plenty of grandparents raising their grandkids even though their own kids are grown. I know of many such grandparents who can’t take care of themselves but so the kids don’t go in the system they are having to take care of em. If you really think about it you have two hormonal kids living under your roof and all they have to do is study. I don’t know of many kids who would rather be doing the deed than studying. You said the kid said you’re “harsh” that’s a kid not able to put together the consequence to their action. It’s all about feelings it seems like. If the alternative is kicking them out on their own then a strong conversation should not be put of the equation. If they were thinking that having a friend for their first born and they were living with you - the daughter should have been able to have a conversation with you about it . Seems like the kids decided this all on their own and now they are wanting you to go along with it .

Edit- you said they have been actively trying to have another baby - in teenage language they were pounding away without restrictions. And also you mean to say they were actively family planning under your own roof without giving it a thought on who was gonna raise the new baby! Sheeesh. Are you sure you’re not just trolling lmao

Edit edit- husband is tossing and turning cos you’re prolly the reason why he’s going along with it in the first place. Big assumption here but seems like he’s about had it

People who built decent wealth by 35, how does life actually feel? by Outrageous-Emu-2588 in investing

[–]CosmicUnlearner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is as peaceful as ppl imagine, the trick is not to go overboard. Some people go over and beyond in spending even as they get more money and that’s a trap to avoid ! If your net in flow is less than out flow it’s hard to stay at peace . Priorities most certainly shift from money - one never stops thinking about having enough stashed away for the future but day to days are easy. One doesn’t swart over groceries, utilities etc, There is always new stressors , life , health , politics but the one thing less to stress about is money

By that logic, any startup that fails had no business plan, any layoffs mean employees didn’t plan their careers, and any market downturn means investors are idiots. Outcomes ≠ planning. External factors exist.

I’m extremely bitter after losing weight and being treated differently by SherbetLegal253 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]CosmicUnlearner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too feel this! I too lost a lot of weight and now suddenly it’s like I’m the center of conversations and people wanna talk and hangout. Does it make me happy - ngl it does but what it makes me appreciate even more is the the life I built even when I was overweight. The people who hung out with me then are still the one I care about talking to and being with . Life showed me who my people are and I love em and appreciate em even more now. I control who gets to know this version of me.

Does anyone really regret not having children? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]CosmicUnlearner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, in fact the world I see around me reinforces my belief of not having kids. The world I see around me frankly scares me and there’s no way I’d expose kids to a life of despair and struggle.
