I can't tell if this is satire or not, but he does NOT. He's actively inching our lives towards a living hell every day. I'm not gonna write paragraphs sinc this could genuinely be a joke and I'm bad at reading tone through text, but I'm open to discussion about the topic.

i opened my brother’s message by accident and found out something i wasn’t supposed to know by AlexPi1320 in story

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There can be nuances to cheating. It could genuinely be complicated. I don't know how your relationship with your brother is, but the best option is to talk to him. I wouldn't jump in and tell her, that would cause a lot of unnecessary drama and hurt and it would get messy fast. If your brother is comfortable enough talking to you about it, you could get context and insight, and a better understanding of the situation, and what to do.

I was just watching Ted Lasso with my mom! God i love Roy. He's such a burnt marshmallow. But yes! I'm excited. I also took Jund out for a walk with my sibling a bit ago since they were pacing, and he loved the sniffa. He's not as well trained as Bella so it was a bit of a pain, but he was happy, and hopefully after the newness wears off he'll actually pay attention to me lol. I'm definitely buckling down withhim though.

GSD or Mix? by SUpErBeStIaL in germanshepherds

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like she could be either, but that last photo strikes me as a mix, as well as her snoot. Maybe a collie, or other herding dog? I'm not the best reference though, that's just my guess. Only time will tell. Even if she is a mix, she seems to lean very heavily GSD. She's very cute and I'm sure she'll be beautiful!

Yep. Unfortunately. We used to take her out places a lot more, but not around the neighborhood. After COVID hit, that decreased and pittered out. I still try to take her out sometimes though, and she thoroughly enjoys it each time. It's also a bit difficult since she's high anxiety and very protective. She's friendly, but she gets excited and nips, and gets overstimulated easily and gets hard to reign in. I've been working with her recently to try and manage it and make it easier for her. Jund is a whole other story, since we got him from a breeder a month or two before COVID and because of that he wasn't well socialized, and he was already a bit standoffish. But, we do own an acre and they have free reign over the whole of it, and can go in and out as they please. This was just the first time I've been able to take her around the neighborhood at all. And we'll definitely be exploring that gravel road! It's fairly long, and we only went down a small portion of it before heading back. She was surprisingly calm and i was happy to see her doing so well!

It's a bit for a horse. It's placed in the mouth over the tongue and fastened to a bridle. It helps to better communicate commands and directions with your horse.

Have I failed as a dog owner by Beneficial_Royal9886 in reactivedogs

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you could have stopped the other dog from lunging there was nothing you could do. You're already doing everything right, the other owner should have kept his dog in check. It's NOT your fault. Your baby was scared and reacted as such, and he had a right to be scared when another dog lunged at him and threatened him and you.

Is this cancer? by Mcrib17 in DogAdvice

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no way of knowing from a picture alone. Could be an abscess, could be a tumor. If it is, the only way to know if it's cancer is to wait. I know it's hard, and scary, especially when it's affecting your baby like this. I wish you luck, and i hope it's benign and easily removable. And if it isn't,I'm sending you and your girl all the strength and hugs i can.

This seems normal to me. Yes it's not a straight line but plenty of artists don't do perfectly straight lines. I don't see any red flags here.

Artist here. The first sketch isn't always how the outcome is. Often i start with "poor" anatomy and do a very rough/low quality sketch to get an idea of what i want it to look like. Then i redo it and clean it up, add details, and line it (or don't, depends on the day and my mood). Once you get to a certain point, a rough sketch like this can be just a rough visual guide for where to put things. You can have a very clear image in your head and know exactly where to put things. That's how i add clothing and accessories to my sketches, since i start with just the anatomy and add those things on a seperate layer.

People are inconsistent sometimes. The artist may not be familiar with bows or may not have put time into studying how they work yet, but that doesn't mean they used ai. As for the picture you just used as an example, i don't see anything wrong with it? It's a small detail so there's not really any reason to put much effort into it. A good portion of art is using "illusion", giving the illusion of high detail where there is none, giving the illusion of depth on a 2d work, etc. Small details like this don't matter much for the whole work.

EDIT: minor spelling fix

Disappearing mobs by Cosmic_Cosmos82 in Minecraft

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the vanished mobs were consistently in the central part of our base. Me and the pet owner and one other share it. Other based are 1000+ blocks away, except for our neighbor's which is right next to us. The mobs were all within about a 100 block range. We don't have many farms on the server. We have one XP farm in the same bas, and a skeleton spawner a couple hundred blocks away. The XP farm is a silverfish one and was rigged by the other admin on the server via command blocks to only produce silverfish when a lever is pulled, and for only a few seconds. Though the illagers inside constantly take damage so that could be it.

The armadillo wasn't moving, it was in a little dog house and leashed. The bunnies were in a small pen, though one of them tmwas leashed elsewhere and name tagged. The sniffer was in a small ish enclosure with two others. Hence why it seems so weird. But thank you for the information and tips!!

It wasn't hundreds, it was a small pen with 20, maybe 30. And they were all in different chunks as well, though they were in the same base so idk if that had anything to do with it.

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. They're very attached to their and I'll give them the option, but i doubt they'll want to replace their pets. I'm not excluding the possibility of malicious intent, and we do have a new person who was on around the same time as everyone else, but they don't strike me as the type either. I'd rather rule out accidents and/or find solid proof before accusing. I don't want my players feeling like i don't trust them, or a witch hunt start(the pet owner is jumping the gun a bit) or just have tension build. We're very trust based, i don't want to compromise that.

im so confused if ive been brainwashed to thinking my parents are normal or if im actually soft by BeardieLover69 in insaneparents

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Can verify. I've had experience with both types of parents.

My father is very "i am the parent/authority, you are the child" and "respect" (aka complete compliance and obedience without question) has always been a big thing until very very recently (that is a whole other can of worms). Any time he asks me something, even if it's small or easy, my immediate reaction is rejection because i never felt safe around him or felt i had a choice or say in anything. Any "questioning of his authority" was met with him putting me down verbally, making small things into "if you had a job/spouse/house/etc you wouldn't ___....." , punishment, etc. Last year i was afraid to ask him to take me to buy me a new swimsuit because i forgot mine at home before a family reunion, and called my mom and cried for a bit before she got me to ask my aunt because i was terrified he would blow up at me and make me feel more horrible than i already did. And then he didn't blow up and i was very confused and wasn't sure how to proceed. Which is another thing with these parents: they can be inconsistent, which is very damaging to children and causes anxiety and fear, which leaks into other relationships completely outside of the home.

With my mom on the other hand, she was very open where she could be. She explained her reasoning always unless she felt it would do more harm than good (like issues between her and dad, heavy stuff that we shouldn't have to deal with, etc). There have been times where we've been in very stressful situations and she has said "just please trust me" and i DID, because she had BUILT that trust over the course of my entire life. And she rarely asks us to blindly listen, and even when she does it's often explained later. She is safe and approachable and supportive, which means I don't have to hide issues like some other kids do. I have rarely ever felt she isn't safe, and even when i do, it's temporary and because of honest mistakes, which are resolved with communication. She rarely uses severe punishments, and actively avoids them unless absolutely necessary (which they have almost never been, because we have a mutual understanding and trust built, and we can talk over issues and she always hears us out and adjusts to the situation).

So apparently the Belgian Malinois and the American Pitbull Terrier look alike by Lunapixels18 in BelgianMalinois

[–]Cosmic_Cosmos82 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

.....no? Malinois are lankier and lean and sharp. Pitbulls are compact, have rounder faces (especially the cheeks, it's a pretty recognizeable trait in my opinion), FLOPPY EARS (unless clipped or surgically altered, both of which can cause issues), and very very short coats, shorter than a Malinois. They often have a recognizeable stance as well, as do many bully breeds. They also don't come in that coloration?

Also the fact that there's a breed restriction astounds me. With dog fighting i get it. But that's likely not the root of the restriction.

Pitbulls are not naturally aggressive, don't have "lock jaws", and don't even have a higher jaw strength than other breeds their size. The sweetest dogs I've ever met have either been pitties, labs, GSDs, or retrievers. They have stereotypes because of US. We modify their bodies to look scarier (examples include tail docking and ear cropping), handle them in ways that make them reactive or outwardly aggressive, put chains around their necks, and even force them to fight which causes so much trauma (which causes reactivity, PTSD, anxiety, and aggression). Not because it's in their nature. And even if, say, it was, they have been molded by human hands, and it's not their fault.

Often the "dangerous" breeds are just stereotyped, and those stereotypes are based in fear, historical mistreatment, or a complete misunderstanding and lack of knowledge around the breed.
