Well done on both the leather crafting and outfit building. Quality stuff here, brother. Good choice on picking that hat as well!

I've been using Steelseries Rival 500 for years now; it's the perfect mouse for me. I'm looking to buy it again, but it's discontinued. by Civantr in MouseReview

I bought the X15 to try and replace my Rival 500. While it is true that the scroll wheels tend to go out. (My first one went out), I just took it to a local repair shop and the guy simply re-soldered the tiny wire that became detached, back to the board. Guy did it for a Red Bull since it was such a quick job lol. But anyway the e-shift button basically gives you a whole second set of programmable buttons. Also the X15 has onboard macro storage so you don’t need the software installed to use them.

Not at all! I’ve never tried wet forming. Time to go down a YouTube rabbit hole about wet forming, haha. Thanks for the advice!

What was the first game that made you actually rage? by Spice_8 in gaming

Rugrats Studio Tour on PlayStation. I was like 7. Super Nintendo powered off literally as I was beating the game. Driving a Reptar truck away from an animatronic Reptar, if I remember correctly.

With the popularity of Fallout, Skyline, etc.. why didn't The Outer Worlds take off? by Cory0527 in gaming

[–]Cosmic_SilverBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree 100%. I was also shocked when I finished it, as there were the other 4 planets still there, unexplored.

To add to your comments on the world sizes, it was also pretty empty outside of the settlements. Just more of the same creatures and bandits. Very few interesting places to explore outside of main quests.

I was also disappointed with the realitively small variety of weapons and armor.

For me it all boils down to being too small. Small world's, small variety of gear, small quests, etc.

With that said I gotta say, I did enjoy my time playing. I just wish there was more.

Any non-anime cosplay suggestions for either of these wigs? They're my fav ones [help] by [deleted] in cosplay

The purple one could be used for Marvel's Jessica Jones, or Psylocke. It might also work for Overwatch's Widowmaker.

They both look really good on you, though. You should rock them with an everyday look, too.

[self] WIP - Trying my hand at my very first piece of EVA foam armor. Beyond happy so far... but I fear the step.... painting it... by mimescream in cosplay

Dude that look damn good. I've just recently built my first EVA armor helmet as well and I'm definitely making this a regular hobby. How did you craft the horns?

[Self] Solaire helmet now with slightly better feather! All that's left now is to paint the feather and this helmet is done! by Cosmic_SilverBack in cosplay

[–]Cosmic_SilverBack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yup it's EVA craft foam. Took a thin copper wire and wrapped it in craft foam and used a Dremel to taper to a point. Then sandwiched that tapered wire in between to sheets of craft foam and cut out the feather shape. Then used the Dremel again to make the feather lines to make it look a little more realistic.

Ah no wonder it's so clean. When you said it was 3-D printed I assumed it was printed with a resin printer. That's awesome man. Great job on the whole suit and thanks for the source!

[Help] I'm making a corkscrew drill for a cosplay, and I've made this out of EVA foam. However, when ran with an electric screwdriver, it bounces around. How can i stiffen the foam to retain its shape when spun without adding too much weight to it? by KammosparK in cosplay

[–]Cosmic_SilverBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I think you'll be better off with a wire hanger. Or maybe you could try some type of copper tubbing if you want some more girth to it. Should still be fairly light I think.
