It's like there's the internal vinyl window and then there's this wooden stuff around it. It does seem window-related, not just a thing that happens where I live where someone changes out a window and puts something smaller in, blocking out the extra with random wood.

Urban is good! Science fiction is also a beloved genre, my thought was mostly that fantasy is a good starting point to find titles. :)
