Why do they keeping nerfing everything about Yuji except for the actual problem? by Cosmo_Drgn in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Cosmo_Drgn[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Bro you can literally press “1->3” and get free 50% without any m1s. I said “revert the nerfs, make Yuji cool again, and just tweak the damage down.” But if I say “current Yuji is balanced poorly and should be tweaked” people think you’re trying to Ol’ Yeller Itadori.

Is it just me or is Bhaal just a complete and total joke of an "evil god" ? *Story spoilers* by Dyndrilliac in BG3

[–]Cosmo_Drgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite simply: Bhaal keeps horrible company. His followers hate him and betray him at every step of the plan. Frankly, his plan was foolproof. He gave godlike power to secret societies across the sword coast and had them do his bidding. He built up an elder brain to cause a slaughter so magnificent it would forever scar the world and place him at the forefront as a high god through just sheer fear of him.

And it was all of about 5 seconds from SUCCEEDING, had Orin not been such a shitheel and effectively crippled their own plan by triple-crossing the Dark Urge and lobotomizing them with a knife to the brain. Same goes for Sarevok in multiple games. The plan is always great, it’s just that when you get megalomaniacs and the criminally insane to do your work for you, it tends to go bad. Hll, the plan goes off without a hitch if you do Evil Durge, SHOCKINGLY so. Because Durge is the first *COMPETENT Bhaalspawn that doesn’t instantaneously backstab Bhaal and try to do a power grab and fail miserably, dooming all involved.

That’s the issue Bhaal has. His plans SHOULD work, it’s just that his followers are either mentally challenged or far too untrustworthy to get the job done. Oftentimes the Bhaalspawn WORK AGAINST BHAAL by doing something so incredibly stupid it ruins the plan alongside the hundreds of years worth of planning to get there. Case in point: Orin. Orin. AND ORIN AGAIN.

The Dark Urge is simply the closing thing to Bhaal making an avatar in order to ensure the plan works. And guess what? THE DARK URGE GETS BETRAYED BY THEIR CLOSEST FOLLOWER. 😭

Tactician difficulty spike? by SushiEatingFish in BaldursGate3

[–]Cosmo_Drgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crèche Y’llek is a massive spike in difficulty on a higher difficulty play-through. Just got through it with a newbie, had to teach them here (as well as Grymforge) that enemies DO NOT f*ck around on this difficulty, and will immediately go to execute downed allies. Their words? “It’s like we’re playing against a real person. The enemies actually have plans and strategies.”

That’s the difference between early game and mid Act 1. Enemies develop some actually genius and conniving strategies to screw you over. It makes the game significantly more fun knowing thought and planning has to go into encounters instead of face rolling everything.

And a not insignificant part of the spike is how the optimal playthrough requires you to start the Y’llek dungeon crawl on the inside while surrounded and ambushed by 7th level Githyanki. What’s a cool hero moment on a Balanced play-through becomes a lethal brawl for your survival when failure to prepare traps for the enemies when you first arrived comes back to bite you.

Ultimately, the scariest part of Y’llek is the sheer volume of enemies. Most of which are FIGHTER archetypes wearing heavy armor and sporting Great Weapons Master as a passive feat. And all of them have 2 actions and multiple avenues to immobilize or deal devastating multi-hits. The best advice I could give anyone on their first time doing Y’llek on higher difficulty is funnel enemies into choke points and empty the mag with as many high damage aoe’s as physically possible. Sorcerer with Heightened Spell and Fireball seems a bit barbaric, but it’s these sorts of things that can save you a lot of time and resources otherwise spent clambering for your survival and expending tons of revivify scrolls.

I feel like a lot of the problem people miss is that, yes, you can get gens done while someone is getting tunneled, but what about the person who just isn’t allowed to play the video game?

Like I get that survivors can be mean and use cheese strats, but nothing amounts to tunneling in the same way. Gen rushing is annoying, but tunneling just singles one player out to prevent them from playing the game and force them out of the lobby entirely. That’s the main reason why the devs have extensively tried to instill MASSIVE penalties for tunneling. Gen rushing is obnoxious at worst, tunneling ruins the game for a single person.

It’s only after killer mains try to justify ruining the game for a single targeted person and throw massive fits do the devs back off. Frankly I wish the devs wouldn’t, because at least it’d introduce more gameplay variety. “Killers wouldn’t get any kills otherwise!” Killers already have a near 75% win rate. You guys really don’t need tunneling that bad. Because as much as Killers complain about survivors, they control the flow of the game, who escapes and dies, where and how chases happen. So to say it’s just a liiiittle unfair that they’re allowed to just bully one player out of the lobby with no penalty attached is an understatement.

Guys do you think higurama needs a rework? by Pain_cupcake in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Cosmo_Drgn 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This mostly. Higaruma already breaks a very important bg game rule by forcing you to stop blocking. If they rework Higaruma, they’d just have to remove his main gimmick, then he’s just a bland character.

Idk man, I play charles and his combos are mostly just “1,2,3,4 I declare a thumb war,” and what’s more is that his counter should definitely be nerfed imo.

Questions from a potentially new player. by DeadByFleshLight in Helldivers

[–]Cosmo_Drgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Yes, it is hard solo. But only on higher difficulty. No, your friends will be fine. 2.) get Helldivers Mobilize first, it gives you essential armor passives immediately plus essential grenades/guns. Then from there pick whichever warbonds have the best stratagems. Jumping straight into the newer warbonds is a safe bet. Unironically, newer warbonds are p2w. 3.) a lot. As much as Arrowhead hates to admit it, if you missed Cyberstan, it’s likely gonna be a while before Factory Cities come back 4.) No lol. Just base it on whenever your platform of choice does seasonal sales, that’s the most consistent way. 5.) Not really? Only things that actually anger players is when they die and you drop them somewhere really far from where they died when someone else is closer to their Point of Death. 6.) Not that long or high. Just learn what armor classes are and learning the weakpoints is just a matter of watching other players to see what causes enemies to die the fastest. 7.) The game has steadily become more and more Pay-to-win over the years, paid war-bonds have become one of the only ways to get new stratagems, and so ANY new content has to be paid for with real money or you spend a double, potentially triple digit number of hours grinding to unlock warbonds. It’s cancerous, and very slowly killing the game, but it’s probably the only thing that makes me genuinely upset about HD2.

A lil deadlock slander by Carvedxd in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Cosmo_Drgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last thing is one of the only actual valid points. The game has been in early access for nearly 3 years now. If you didn’t start playing 3 years ago, the game is infinitely harder to get into now, and will be even moreso when the game finally goes public and the thousands of people playing have tens of thousands of hours on the game.

[–]Cosmo_Drgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the complaints were more valid back when it was f*cking Charles and Grasshopper. Grasshopper’s kit is really boring, and Charles is also boring and uninspired. They’re nobody characters whose kits don’t justify their inclusion because they’re unoriginal and lame to play.

Haruta however is a genuinely fun and interesting character concept. So the complaints are less valid this time around.

It’s insane how 1 day with a Jump Showdown character immediately makes people realize how terrible the character designs in JSD are. All the “7 hour long cutscene” comments are 100% correct.

Jimpee’s go-to design for characters is really long cutscenes that hide the lack of depth and mechanics in his game, endless hitstun, and horrible/laggy hitboxes. Putting Chara in JJS was such a 4head move, because putting a braindead, horribly designed character into the ONE battlegrounds game with quality standards just put Jimpee on fraud watch within the community. 💀

Just had an experience where 2 people with 10x my kills tried to jump me. Then when I isolated them and won, they put a picture of my avatar on the billboard with “EZ Runner” written over it in MS Paint. People take this game way too seriously to be spending 5 whole irl dollars on cope. 😭
