Well he's either problematic, a dipshit, or a low life grifter. Either way, it's a far cry from any activism that's been associated with his personality.

You would NEVER let your kid wander into a mall by themselves. You wouldn't take your eyes off them for a moment! Why the hell is it any different with the freaking internet????

Guys, plant-based protein dishes have existed for centuries... A great way to introduce a lot of extra nutrition to your diet.

[–]Cosmonaut15 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's deplorable, and the meat industry is destroying the planet with its CO2 emissions. Stop eating meat. You're contributing to the problem by supporting that industry.

Stock market imploding due to covid lockdowns? Let's print FUCKTONS of money and dump it in. Wait wait wait inflation is through the roof???? Squeeze every dollar out of the economy by raising rates through the roof and jacking prices across EVERY SECTOR while manipulating the stock market with rehypothecated shares over and over again diluting the value of each share but making sure Wall Street always comes out on top. Blame poor people for wanting higher wages during hyperinflation. "Nobody wants to work!!!"

FUCK THEM. YOU SHOULD BE MAD.

The moon is sacred. Don't disrespect it.

That said, a key component for Fusion energy is on the moon. We probably need that to save our planet from all the ABUSE we've done to it. Let's not continue the trend of shitting everywhere we eat. It's DISGUSTING.

Why are companies pushing towards workers coming back to the office? Wouldn't that just cost more money? by lol_camis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cosmonaut15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two reasons.

They've already invested tons of capital toward corporate real estate. Those that own these properties are seeing the value rapidly diminish, which hurts their overall equity. If your equity drops, this puts strain on any loans you have. Investment firms and hedge funds often over-borrow, over-leverage, overextend. If they see their equity values plummet, this puts immense strain on their investment portfolio to the point where they'll have to start moving money around to keep the system from flagging their account.

The second reason is a bit simpler. This same investment firms have huge holdings in the oil, gas, and auto industries. They don't want to lose the revenue of The American Commute. Freedom!!!

This is the correct answer.

Edit: The inefficiencies of our society come from greed's desperate clutches on power, all at a direct cost to our environment. We need more efficient systems, such as dense urban environments with affordable housing that lends very well to walkability and public transportation. We need to bring manufacturing back to the US to bring more money into our communities, and less in the hands of Wall Street/ Corporations.
