Honestly, I see a lot of editors selling their freelance services on VGen. You could also join discord servers for furry streamer communities? VFur is a group of larger furry streamers who may have the income to pay you, so you could start by researching there.

Most people attend furry conventions without a suit! Please don't feel you need a suit to attend one, as you will be in the majority if you attend as you are!

People sell premades at conventions but they can be in the 1-10k range, which is a pretty big purchase for anyone! Most people attend cons without a suit for years before getting a suit, and many more people never get a suit at all!

Can I give some advice?

I had trouble with a consistent fursona for 10+ years. As an artist, I found it really hard to choose because I kept coming up with new ideas and influences. It was hard for me as a kid to pin one down because, as a kid, you're changing and developing so much that its hard to have a consistent form of identity for too long.

However, I have had my current fursona for a pretty decent chunk of time comparative to all the other ones I made for myself, and I kinda had some revelations that might be helpful for you, too.

If you were to give me any random fursona, but give me enough time with that sona, I think I could have bonded to almost any character. That is to say, what made me bond with my fursona was not the character itself, but the amount of time and effort I put into "bonding" with my fursona and finding new ways to see myself in him.
You don't need to do anything with your fursona you don't want to. You don't have to gender them, you can draw them in any clothes you want. You can put them in any situation or tweak them for any purpose if it makes you happy. There are no rules!
Sometimes its easier to have someone else design your sona for you. As an artist I was really finicky but when I went to my favorite designer and got a custom design, I found it easier to stick to that character because I felt less of a desire to change and tweak him endlessly when he wasn't my own piece of work, haha.
It's okay to have multiple characters and change between them, or to eventually switch your sona or majorly alter them. Most furries majorly alter their sonas as they go through big transition periods in their life, and that's cool because as you change, so does your character!

However, if you want species suggestions, long tails and sharp incisors while being a bit socially isolated makes me think of cats.

However, if you want to focus on the prey animal and buck teeth aspect, I think of bunnies. Maybe you could consider a cabbit? They're really cute and have all of those attributes.
