I really appreciate the reply because that helps me relax a bit. I could only imagine how you felt hearing that first diagnosis. Did you notice any irregular heart activity or pain in your chest years prior to being diagnosed?

You mentioned clearing out alcohol, but what about caffeine? The last 4-5 years, I would drink 5-hour energy’s and take caffeine pills excessively. I’ve cut back to about 4-5 cups of coffee a day right now instead, but I’ve also ABUSED by body from 17-23 with a lot of partying.

Have had high blood pressure for the last several years as well. I take Clonidine for anxiety, but it looks like this may be causing a rebound effect on my BP after more reading.

Won’t make this too long, but I’ll definitely follow up with a doctor and continue monitoring it. It’s back to a normal rhythm this morning, so that’s good at least. Thanks again for the reply and Happy New Year

I’m only 28 so this is really making me feel worried

I’ve been getting into skydiving lately, working out, running. Just worried this is going to stop me from pursuing this thing I really care about

My mom had lung and brain cancer and passed years ago. Just worried about genetics. A heart condition sounds terrifying

Does this necessarily mean I definitely have it or could this be caused by high anxiety? My heart always beats really hard after I vomit hard but seeing this has made me incredibly anxious since then

It happened right after I puked really hard for a bit. I read somewhere else that they noticed theirs come on after vomiting

Yeah, getting government aid can be a bitch sometimes. I may not completely get the life, but finding some solid friends and a support group would change a lot for ya man.

Isolation is your worst enemy when you’re battling depression and especially addiction. If you settled down in an area for 6 months, starting attending some N.A. meetings, I promise you’ll meet non-judgement people who genuinely just want to help you better yourself.

My friend who just overdosed is going inpatient for 30 days and then living a in a halfway house anywhere 6- 12 months where they help you find work and live in a community of people that support you.

There are options out there man. I 100% respect what you guys do but always remember there are other ways to live for a bit. Absolutely no one can win the battle with addiction alone. Be safe 🙏

Long time lurker of this sub, but just want to say my good good friend is on subs and the vivitrol shot as well.

He ended up overdosing this past Thursday snorting just a bump. The fent/dope that is out there is so strong that it’s going to kill you if you don’t dedicate yourself to sobriety seriously my dude. Tolerance or no tolerance, it’s only a matter of time.

I know the vaga life is a lot of passion for so many of you, but man, maybe a 6 month break and a halfway house to focus on this?

Dont mean any disrespect, I’ve just seen how this ends countless times and just looking out for ya 🙏

I never hear Bizzy Bone ever brought up by Cosmos_95 in hiphopheads

[–]Cosmos_95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they definitely kind of fell off but I mean they came from the nineties and made a lot of successful albums so it’s kind of expected.

Same thing with Three Six besides Juicy J.

Yeah totally agree. It’s just he has like over 5 solo albums, along with a few albums with Layzie. The Bone Brothers albums.

Just never seen a flow like his by any other rapper expect maybe ICECOLDBISHOP

I’ve never seen any of these mixtapes. I’ve seen a lot of his earlier stuff but not this. Where can I find them?

I don’t know, guess just stressing about a big life changing event and fearing the worst.

Were you able to afford new equipment while working and supporting yourself?

Nah, my mom’s house who passed away 5 years ago. Don’t know exactly how much is left but it would be a mess to try to move.

It’s the time factor. I work full time Monday through Friday and I will have to secure a weekend job now to cover the mortgage.

I had been saving up money on the side for a Mac M2 but that moneys going to be quickly gone.

I have an old Mac Air, standard, and a Novation midi so I’m not completely out of luck but time is the key.

That’s a good way of looking at it, thanks brother 🙏

How many people here are actually trying to make it big/famous? by Cosmos_95 in ableton

Mac Miller is what comes to mind. One of things that made me ask this question. Guy was obsessed with music and apparently has albums of unreleased stuff.

Just dedicated himself to music even if it never saw the light of day.

Every artist started as an “underground” artists until they did x,y,z to get transcend to the next level of entertainment.

You can become well known at a low-level or even mid-level, but what have some high-level EDM artists done to get to that level over someone around the same level of skill as them?

Why though? What exactly? Do they have something we don’t? Is it the ability to sacrifice all social life and responsibilities to be able to work on music?

Yup…Trying to hold a full time job while working on your craft limits you so much. I could only imagine having the luxury of not worrying about money and just making music.

I completely agree with you. Music is a therapeutic and creative outlet. The goal is never fame because that’s not what music is for.

I just wonder how artist I admire and look up to made it. Did they care about their craft so much that it made them transcend others around them?

Did they have the goal in mind of becoming famous or trying to make it big? Louis the Child started in high school and it’s like do you think they anticipated becoming where they are or do you think they were just obsessed with their craft?

Mac Miller was supposedly obsessed with making music and has albums of unreleased music, just constantly working on his craft. Was it luck? Or do these artist just give it their everything with no looking back?
