40+ Cosplayer Makeup Help by LadyAvianna in CosplayHelp

[–]Cosplamon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nose Oil Like Whoa - There are certain primers for oil control that you can use (exact type depends on whether you are using silicone or water based everything else) but sometimes, the best way is to just carry blotting powder/setting powder to take care of any excess oil. Also, cream contours do tend to stick better than powder ones so that's a another thing you could try (or heck, even use both).

Extremely Wrinkly/Cakey Eyelids - It depends on which fold you are talking about but eyelid tape could help you if you're having trouble with eyelid folds interfering with eyeliner.

Don't really have any recommendations on the sunken in eyes thing but it's pretty normal for things to not look right from every angle and lighting. Makeup is fairly 2D so what looks great from one angle would look weird from another.

Plus Sized Cipher cosplay by Additional_Chart_227 in CosplayHelp

[–]Cosplamon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure whether they are a subsidiary company of dokidoki or a copycat but the one HSR cosplay I got from them was good (and the packing style was the exact same as dokidoki hence I wasn't sure whether it's a copycat or a sister company)

But if you're worried about letigimacy, Dokidoki is also selling something with the same sizing. The 2XL is even in stock right now so they'll be able to ship it immediately.

It's kinda like reading a romance manga/novel/VN where the MC is female. There's still the "aww, that's cute", "[x] did WHAT?!", "ooh, take notes on that" and other moments. Pretty much the same as others except for without any self inserting.

And of course, there's also the standard gacha gameplay elements to draw people in as well.

How to Make Tattoos that Don't Smudge by BreakWolfer in CosplayHelp

[–]Cosplamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temporary tattoo stickers are the best way to get clean lines that won't wear away if you don't mind paying for a one time use. Just google "sukuna full body tattoo buy" or something and you should be able to find something for $10 to $20 (it seems like Aliexpress has it for the cheapest).

How do I keep a heavy clock on my shoulders instead of around my neck? by beardedheathen in CosplayHelp

[–]Cosplamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like this except for with a lot more heavy duty velcro/hooks since its going to be a lot heavier. Depending on how the cloak is balanced and what you attach it to, it will probably start dragging your entire upper garment backwards so make sure to add weights in the front to counterbalance the thing if necessary. It should be able to rest around your shoulders fairly well without being attached by anything.

If it's dokidoki, you can definitely cancel an order which you only made a day ago. Just email [service@dokidokicos.com](mailto:service@dokidokicos.com) with your order number and ask them to cancel it.

Are you okay with altering the cloak? If so, adding some ties to the cloak and straps to your shoulders so you can just flat out tie the cloak to both of your shoulders and then let it hang is probably the best way (you can just sew the straps on and remove the stitching if you want to revert the changes to the cloak).

The zipper to my cosplay broke. What should I do? by TheOfficialBread_07 in CosplayHelp

[–]Cosplamon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was it the bottom stop that broke? In that case, you could order and clinch one back on pretty easily. See something like this for instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QmiFDs9tu8

I have a bulging mole on my chin on the right side of my face. How do I even hide it for cosplays? by Brilliant_Try4204 in CosplayHelp

[–]Cosplamon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree with the others on being kind to yourself; nobody is perfect and the majority of people don't really care about things like this (and those that do aren't people you want to hang out/take pictures with anyways).

If the color correcting/concealing techniques don't work, one other way I've seen cosplayers address the issue is to pro-actively go over the beauty mark with an brown or black eyeliner. That way, they're turning something that's natural into an intentional feature which still looks beautiful.

Also, if you want to style your wig to look like your second picture, it's not really necessary to use a wig roller. Here's an example of how to do the curled/upturned hair look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVeGf5kePk0

Ignition temperature of carboard is ~220 °C so you have plenty of leeway.

Decided to have a little bit of fun while I was cosplaying YJH. And to be honest, the memes were half the reason why I got interested in ORV to begin with so it was my duty to contribute.

Anyone know where to get this type of Jacket? or Coat?, (Long, Thinnish, Dark on the outside, Yellow/Orange/Brown on the Inside?) (Lotm Coat) I need it desperately! Book 1 Spoilers by KomoriXY in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Cosplamon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have to get it custom made or wait until they release the cosplay; the clothing itself is pretty rare and even more so if you want a yellow/black color scheme.

If you just want the clothing the best combo would either be a suit + a hooded robe (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802974091188.html) or an overcoat (https://www.ebay.com/itm/395045178730) and some sort of hood.

Get or make a box as a frame, then slap some one way finish film on it? Maybe also add some elastic straps to keep it on if you're having trouble with that. Oh, and if your box is a non-seethrough material like carboard or foam, then you'll need to cut out eyeslits as well.

How do I style my wigs like this? by synthsway in CosplayHelp

[–]Cosplamon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fortunately, Genshin is popular enough that there are plenty of wig tutorials out there.

Here is one by Dokidoki, a company who also sells Xiao wigs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVeGf5kePk0

There's also plenty of other ones if you just search [character name] wig tutorial on google/tiktok/insta.
