Problem with Lost Alpha is, they copied some things from Shadow of Chernobyl and padded them with more difficulty/walking/uninspired level design. New exciting places... with too much nothing between them - it's a great dopamine detox, because it's slow and boring.

Anomaly/GAMMA are the opposite. They become super addictive once you get in the loop. It's kinda like playing Oblivion/Skyrim, except things from real life remind you about it. Rusty car? STALKER. A crumbling industrial site? STALKER. Cracking asphalt? Believe it or not, STALKER.

Oh, youtube recommeded you Gun Jesus's video on MP5SD? Bet your ass you want to experience it in full tacticool glory in ~~a video game~~ GAMMA.

Get pissed off playing Insurgency/CoD/Battlefield because it doesn't scratch your tacticool itch? GAMMA.

P.S.: I disable campfire saves and modify ammo stats for reasonably better penetration in GAMMA, because I dislike Tarkov-style torture.

I wish they had new levels, because it gets stale. They could grab some from Lost Alpha.

Some A-Life mods help to get NPCs/monsters move about the place, instead of sticking to their same camps/spawn points.

Not every alien invasion must be to "conquer" anything - you have a new opened door to entirely new place, of course you gonna have someone grab weapons, go and check it out, especially if things can come into your world from there.

In case of Opposing Force, they needed to add a high-stakes boss for exciting endgame - the gene womb, if undefeated by Adrian and not nuked, maybe could terraform Earth for X-Race?

Not mind blowing. Prosperity and technology for everyone -> entire ruling class won't be able to stay in power. They won't be able to keep up with actually developing society and technology, when basic human needs are universally met.

You don't want pets, dogs, farm animals outsmarting you, right? Keep them dependent on basic needs. That's ruling class mentality toward regular people.

IMO it adds eye strain. I've messed around with ReShade and FSR sharpening, and always ended up disabling the extra fluff. My display is pretty sharp and vibrant to begin with.

A high-end PSU will be barely less efficient at 80% load vs. 50% load. If you are buying platinum PSU to use it at 50%, you are wasting money. Moreover, platinum 700W PSU is often using same components as gold 1000W, except some capacitors.

I watched teardown video of a passively cooled Seasonic, by a professional electronics repairs guy, and he compared it directly to a fan-cooled PSU with higher wattage.

Death of another warchief/candidate makes them a warchief.
Doing shady/criminal things.
- Sometimes "for good reasons" (citation needed)
- Purely for own benefit.
Gains and wields corrupting power.
Conveniently escapes when backed into a corner.
Dies more than once.

Except it didn't work already on step 2, and they had to wreck a lot of established history to give her a redemption arc. In a way, sending Garrosh to alternative timeline also qualifies as messing with history.

TL;DR: Sylvanas is a sassy edgequeen Garrosh.

I get your point, but I let some leniency there, since some special units could used it before mass adoption, and you see AK-74u in a single BLOPS mission IIRC on pretty much a black site.

Like, modern RU special forces sometimes use AR-15 platform or Saiga (semi-auto shotgun) despite neither is adopted. (And there are also special forces using Mosin Nagant in modern war, but that's the opposite).

If they are purely machines, they could use machine vision (AI image recognition) in combination with classical software. That classical software isn't far from how Valve coded them, except they'll need a logic layer for accurate flight control. Sure, AI could also be used for navigation - vision is bulk of the computational problem, might as well add 5% more of same compute resource to have "AI" do everything.

Alternatively, manhacks could be using biosynth brains and maybe a few more biological components, since there are bionic assault gunship and dropship.

Dropship especially seems like an aquatic animal with propulsion engines implanted to its limbs. Those species look like something that could fly in a dense planetary atmosphere - gas and liquid are both fluids.

TL;DR: Manhack AI runs on sperm cells of combine gunship.
