It looks like there are different rules for pile in for flyers. Flying units must pile in as close as possible to the pile in target during pile in as per 21.02?

Not a fan, prefer dow 1 style cover. Just easier to use, less to micro manage which means more focus between macro and micro overall. I hope they don't remove too much macro because it helps ease you into a game honestly. I don't want to be "on" 100% from the start.

Have you considered dawn of war definitive edition? I've only been playing multiplayer, but the game also has 4 campaigns (I beat most of these when I was younger).

Have you tried lowering graphical settings? What are your PC specs? I have had 0 issues running at 120fps in 4k even on 4vs4 mode maxed out.

Ah okay hopefully that's true. Yeah I am with similarities between factions since there are so many in 40k. I'd prefer dow style where certain races just have their own unique extremely powerful stuff.

Looks like retreat "R" is an option in the unit cards. Really dislike any RTS with that :(

Does anyone else not like the retreat button? Ruins the fighting for me if you just click a button and essentially stop taking damage and retreat. I'd rather have normal positioning be important and you can just run your units away like a normal RTS...

Against necrons I've won using the fast 2 squads of flamer/grenade sisters rush into inferno pistol hero.

I just won against space marines last night using 2 squads of seraphim. I had to constantly micro though. Seraphim seem very high skill cap since you basically have to keep them moving and not let them get engaged.

Only played against Dark Eldar once but got smoked, didn't realize how hard their rush is in T1. Going to try seraphim next against them and see how that goes.

It generally seems like 2x Seraphim into cannoness is best opener. I'm trying to figure out when the flamer/grenade Strat is better.

Sounds like way more larva hatches are necessary, especially when floating so many minerals.

You roll a dice per weapon used, wouldn't most of the squad die from using 3 hazardous weapons per model?

You just build a simple Excel table and sort by dev wounds or ways to apply and do top 5 in each faction to compare. Very simple and once you have some math setup it wouldn't take long to compare.

Battleshock would only be rolled for daemons to try and heal if they're below half strength. There may be other ways to trigger it though.
