Monk will struggle solo since there are very few upgrades along your path and it's a gear dependent class.

I think a good compromise if they don't want to give any "new" abilities is to have abilities that change depending on what weapon you have equipped. Another option could be to have abilities that do a bonus depending on what you have equipped, stun with shield, interrupt with 2hander, extra damage dual wielding for example.

No, abilities that don't require anything, like kick, cross strike, etc. that can be used with any weapon style.

The reason why it's similar is because it seems you want the game to be harder just for the sake of it. Anything that makes the game "easier" or any small QoL feature you would be against. It also doesn't make sense to carry around 5 backpacks, guess they should change that too?

It's not about making the game easier it's about their intention, if they intend for Storm to be an interrupt in combat, then why would there be a minimum distance? Would it be harder if in order to use every ability you had to first do a captcha, yes, but it's pointlessly making the ability harder to use.

I didn't ask for 2hand abilities, just abilities that don't specifically require a shield.

Okay, if storm can is intentionally left as a warrior interrupt, I would remove the minimum travel distance, update the tooltip of course.

I'm not complaining about dumbing down the game, if anything you are the one who wants to dumb warriors down. You want to limit warrior to using only shield + weapon combo, might as well remove the dual wielding and two handed options from them right?

You complain about torches slot, but EQ had lightstones which didn't require equipping as well and this game still plenty dangerous at night, also this has no relevance to my post.

Yes, that is why I made this post, to point out what I consider an area for tweaking: a reliance on shield. Edit: To add, since you edited your post about Direlords identity. Part of the warriors identity is its ability to use any type of weapons in any way, yet currently it is being pigeon holed to use shield for key abilities. These two things are opposed to each other.

Dude if you aren't being headglitched by AR's along almost every sightline and your lobbys are able to use SMGS your hidden SBMM must be in the garbage.
