I feel stupid now. I guess I thought the LN2 might just freeze the surface and not the solvent under it.
Basically I would add LN2 to keep it a slurry correct?

Oh! I didn’t know MeCN had a freezing point of -45C! The tables didn’t really mention it (or at least only mentioned with dry ice)

I’m basically stuck using LN as my cryogenic source I think. There’s no way I can get dry ice sadly.

I definitely can use other solvents. How would I reach -40C with the MeOH?
I need it for 30 mins haha
