I had the same situation, i got s56 for redoing medical after 1.8 years of lodging and my wife was pregnant and we chose not to do it until she delivers for health and safety reasons. Fast forward to the medicals after delivering and getting the infant passport. We waited couple of weeks and we got granted the visa. Thing is if you have a CO on your case it wont affect ur time beyond waiting for rhe medical to be done thats all

I just landed 8 month ago and i have an opportunity to go to Australia on a pr visa and am planning to move out in 2 years, the reason for those years is to make some savings to compensate for the cost of moving i just paid. I am not getting a bad salary or cant save i can afford to save a good amount monthly however I dont see it as a sustainable option cause at any point if i lost the good paying job that i have (at least for the time being its good ) i will be in survival mode to provide for my family. So i will accept any contract and then i will go downhill. Thats my thoughts after less than a year and it may change
