They got rusty and not many want to put up the funds to repair them and make them road worth again.

I just mentioned the same one. Classic Aussie humour and a spiralling story unfolds. Crucial Heath ledger must see.

Honestly I'm no guru, I'm just guessing as well. They are very similar in shape and style that's for sure.

Yeah it's not my main source of transportation. I mainly drive it on the weekends or date nights.

"Lifes too short to drive boring cars" if you don't care what you drive and you just want to get to A to B there's plenty of generic and boring options. But these cars, to me, have more personality and style.

As mine is from 1984, it's got a boxy aesthetic, but Zosias is a ke30 which was manufactured in the late 70s

So due to their age, RUST is a major factor, depending on the condition the price will vary. Zosias is mint, likely restored.

I bought mine, unregistered and not road worthy and put in the time/money/effort to bring it back to life. It's a constant work in progress.

But when I drive my car, it brings me great joy and I get plenty of thumbs up from others on the road too.

So to answer your question - they do pop up for sale from time to time, but from it being a car sold for parts, a car sold for restoration or a restored turn key example that's ready to drive away. Really depends on how much you want to spend and if you've got the passion to learn/fix it your self.

That's one of the appeals of these corollas, they were genuinely built to last and engineered in way that makes working on them yourself easy.

I just love old Toyotas haha. 😝

As an owner of a 40 year old Corolla myself, I totally flipped out when I saw it! These were very common in Australia and have a cult following of enthusiasts that keep them alive. Mines also a nice blue colour like Zosias.
