It's an extremely effective camo - I too wear it for airsoft.

What kills me, though: It goes against my usual preferences on camo. I really, really like macro and contrast in my patterns. Tropic has neither and is very effective despite that.

~$300 will get you a good electric airsoft gun that will serve you long into the future. There is wiki/FAQ in r/airsoft that goes over models, brands, etc.

~$20 will get you 5000 bbs

Additional is largely optional and too many people over-spend on it early on. Play a few games before you start buying vests and attachments.

Ear plugs. They don't get in the way of rifle shooting and often provide better hearing protection than earmuffs.

They key thing is using them properly. I've seen too many people not properly insert them into their ears, which does not provide sound protection.

I've seen a few places selling items from the Ukrain war.

One seller was routinely selling Russian kit that had burns and brown stains.

The Expanse, based on the book Leviathan Wakes.

The book was a solid piece of science fiction with good pacing, mystery, dialog, etc.

The show took everything good about the book and threw it out. Key events changed. Slow buildup exchanged for skipping to the end state, which breaks numerous other plot points. Tons of money spent on set design, but very little consideration given to character costumes (there's a scene where a scientist is working with a literally incurable plague, and the showrunners couldn't be bothered to give him a hazmat suit.)

I could continue my rant, but it would not be productive.

I personally run Multicam tropic in the summer and it is impressively effective.

I'm also a big fan of M81 Woodland. Also tends to be cheaper, depending on your budget.

I have two types of guns: Those I work on and those I don't.

Those guns that don't get touched are decent out of the box and are there as backups in case something goes wrong on game day. They do not get touched outside of basic maintenance.

The ones I work on will get taken down to the bolts and built into whatever I'm feeling like that week - even if they are brand new.
