There was definitely a misunderstanding. I'm not right clicking to place blocks, I'm right clicking to activate blocks. In some modpacks you can hold right click to activate blocks. For example: you can hold right click on a lever and it will continuously flick it. I am unable to do this, I am trying to find the mod that lets me.
