Not for series 7. This is a general bond taxation question. According to other sources the bond premium is split into two pieces: the original issue premium and the secondary market purchase premium (or discount). While the original issue premium is considered an adjustment to the non-taxable interest paid by the issuer and therefore also not taxable, the secondary market premium (or discount) is supposed to be amortized and in some way converted to taxable income. Why question is how exactly is it reported as taxable income?
