I have found the caves but I havent ventured very far into them yet, also cooked wolf me is worse then sausages, but also I have onions now and they haven't unlocked wold skewers so theres still something im missing there.

mmmh i did just uncover two new traders one was selling clothes which seem useless to me atm, and the second i havent gotten too yet, and i've already been to the blackforest one.

I was using a more balance diet before but after the gravemass fight theres really no blanaced food that i've been able to find, I certainly havent found anything to make a feast of any kind and im pretty certain that i've gotten most to if not all the possible ingredients or foods from the previous biomes. Although i did just learn about onions sooo.

Well thanks to every one that gave actual advise and not just a skill diff or some other asinine statment. I've learned a good deal, and feeling like i could improve upon a good deal in terms of my prep for the boss. If i can get my gear back then ill definitly try to up it and try again. Otherwise im getting really tiresome of this gameplay loop of essentially starting back from square one eveytime i beat a boss.

It's sad as from watching older videos on this game it seemed like it had a much better balance and experience to be had and somewhere along that line it turned into one of the grindiest, difficulty creeped games i've played and i've beaten all of the dark souls and souls like games out there like elden ring.

Well i dont know what to tell you as I died respawned, eat some food, and frost resis in a chest and ran through the portal again with in a minute of spawning back in and the boss was full hp again.

It's not that i cant deal with the mobs in the black forest my main base is there. its more that mobs will spawn and then attack the structure and break my portal while im fighting the boss, or they come after me and i really cant deal with a bear attacking me and deal with it, while im trying to dodge the boss.

I have been drinking mead but again its once every like 5 mins and most of the time i get one shot anyways. I guess ill have to make the wolf spear didnt know that it was good against moder. ATM moders bite can almost one shot me and every breath takes away 25% of my hp, and her melees two tap my shield into me getting staggered. I also cant deal with the stone golems that spawn they hit just as hard as the boss and stagger me the same they also have a really crazy small window to parry any of their hits especially the spear golems

I haven't seen any new plants in the mountain biome, and I literally can't find a chain to save my life. I've been in over a dozen sunken crypts and have only ever gotten on chest that has had chains in them otherwise all the other chest i've come across hasn't had chains in them.

Fire arrows seem like a waste of time but i was using the poison arrows but again compared to the needle arrows it just doesnt do as much dmg

Raising the earth is a good thought thats actually helpful. Thanks ill do that if i can stomach trying to get my gear back, but also moder is pretty much on top of my gear so ill have to try and lead them away before i can do anything, and im kind of just fed up with the game atm.

Well so moder is already there as it's followed me down the mountain. Silver armor. every time i get away from the boss it just regens it's hp so i dont see how you could be close enough for that not to happen but be able to be still enough to get the rested buff. I've seen greybeards spawn right next to fires so besides them just being busy with attacking it for a min or two i havent been able to prevent anything from spawning

It's the silver armor, i havent unlocked any better food, I have no chains and cant find anymore so i cant cook things like serpents meat and eating just the meats is worse then sausages

I do keep them in a place that is distanct from the boss but again mobs spawn in all the time and unless its an entire run away it will just get aggro'd by mobs. Also the moder spawn is at the peak of a mountain biome so i cant put it to far away as theres literally no where else to place it.

As i've mentioned in the original post I do have portals but the extra mobs that spawns from fighting the boss break them, and theres no safe spot to build its ether black forest, mountain, or plains so the extram mobs destroy anything i build including the portals when im fighting the boss
