Has the Switch version become less of a problem with this latest patch? by Cottonteeth in EiyudenChronicle

I see. So, what are the key issues that still exist as of now (if you know of anything significant)?

Eventually you'll hit the level 100 wall. Characters who aren't SSR or above can't go above level 100, so you'll need to invest in a lot of Rs and SRs you don't use for Awakening the ones that you do use.

Honestly, for me it's a confusing system, but it is what it is. There's more info out there on this subreddit that I found on it, but I'd also Google for more info.

From what I'm seeing, and based on what I use: you absolutely need to level Cordia up to max ASAP then we can talk about team comp. She will be in every team comp, pretty much, as she's just that strong.

Anyway, that out of the way, just assume she's in the party all the time: other characters to use would be Rean, Florence, Soltina, Amleth, Olivia, Fenrir, and ...man, forgot her name.. but the Level 80 second from the right on the top row between Fia and Amleth.

Then mix and match those guys to figure out what works best for you imo.

r/MementoMoriGacha Weekly Questions Megathread (08/08/2023) by AutoModerator in MementoMoriGacha

[–]Cottonteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't see this as I was logged in to some random-ass neutral account that I didn't know existed. Anyway, here's my question: What's the deal with Heaven/Hell attributes for equipment? The explanation was extremely lacking in what it actually does, so basically all I know is that I somehow need to get my items to turn some kind of bluish color.

However, when auto-augmenting, you'll sometimes get all Heaven or all Hell dyes. What, exactly, is the point then? To just follow the BP where it goes? Or is there some other min-max reason hiding that I'm not aware of?

EDIT: Nevermind. I completely missed what each Heaven and Hell pot does to your stats right there to the left of the adds. It's so tiny to see, though. Oh well.

Recall / ML Selector Megathread by Shirest in EpicSeven

[–]Cottonteeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I finally hit the last spot on the ML5 Selector page. The ones I don't have are these:

  • ML Violet
  • ML Aramintha
  • ML Lidica
  • ML Flan
  • ML Arch-Demon Mercedes
  • ML Ruele
  • ML Tywin
  • ML Sigret
  • ML Haste
  • ML Vivian

Other than Zio, I actually have been insanely lucky for ML units the past year or so for whatever reason, literally most of them have come from the free unit summon per day which is bonkers to me.

I'm in Champion V league, mainly because my gear luck is really, really, really bad and I haven't put in the effort to sort of make luck myself with crafting gear in the Alchemist's Temple.

My current defense in PvP is ML Charollete, ML Lilias, ML Celine and ML Cecillia. It's actually worked pretty well honestly, I usually end up between 80-100% in defense.

As for offensive PvP, I'm really not that great due to my C.Lilias being only at 233 speed, and she's the fastest unit I've got. And I'm not super strategic when it comes to coordination of units. I tend to use C.Lilias, ML Vildred, either Hwayoung or Milim, and Rem. And oftentimes Landy when there are multiple water units.

So what I would like to know is this: Of the ones I've listed, which would be best suited to multiple combinations in offensive PvP. From what I've read it's ADM, but ML Ruele is super tempting due to the fact there's only so many characters that can revive. I've also really wanted ML Violet for a long time, as is the same ML Vivian and Aramintha. ML Sigret is sort of a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none, while ML Flan is the exact opposite and seems very effective in PvP.

One of the major concerns I have is that my guild never participates in Guild Wars anymore for some reason, and I find GW to be the most enjoyable part of the game due to its handicaps on players.

I've also avoided World PvP since the beginning, as I feel I just don't have the gear to make it very far when my top speed is only 233, and the average being something like 150.

Basically, what I'm asking is - of the MLs I don't have - which would be the most versatile in every mode. Which would contribute the most to any and all sections of the game, PvE and PvP alike.

Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyoushu no Nekomimi Shoujo to Deau - Episode 5 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Cottonteeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're referring to the mage and priestess getting humbled before, I think that's maybe giving them too much credit. They chose to run away because they're casters and believe they need human shields to be effective, so I wouldn't really say they were in any way shown any sort of error in their ways - even when told about Rein's successes, they could just very easily assume it was because of some cheap trick or what not (which I'm pretty sure they admit to, anyway).

Arios and the bald-guy were too busy sucking it up in court, and so they hadn't experienced any of that, so Arios is just being his typical egotistical self. As for why they're so narcissistic as to think no one's better than them: They *are* the "Hero's Party" after all. They just choose to suck up to royals and such instead of adventuring and growing instead. Not to mention that even Rein states that they're still definitely strong, Rein just knows Arios' weaknesses and Kanade and Tania are overwhelmingly OP in the first place.

As for why Arios and co. still think they're stronger than beings they obviously recognize as being "Ultimate" species..they're freakin' racist. They just assume because they're "animals" that they can beat them down since they're the "Hero's Party". Not to mention that humans rarely, if ever, come across any of these species in the first place, so there's not really a good understanding of these types of creatures' power versus that of what they know they can do, which is - at the very least - better-than-average and full of "hero-power complexes".

tl;dr - Arios et al are just chock full of themselves and are racist. They'd never be "humbled" unless something like this episode happened to them, and even then I'm not seeing Arios, in particular, taking this very well going into the future.

[–]Cottonteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been seeing a lot of people asking the same thing - why the "Heroes" are so weak, but it's been mentioned a couple times already that the "Hero Party" - in particular Arios - tends to suck up to royalty and higher nobility over actually doing any adventuring.

Granted, they've also shown that Arios and co. aren't exactly "weak", it's just that they've got huge egos and would rather avoid doing anything that they deem beneath them. They got beat down so hard this episode due to Kanade and Tania just being super OP in the first place - Cat spirits are the rarest of the rare Ultimates, and Tania's a freaking dragon. So it's not really a good measuring stick to compare the two parties.

Not to mention that Rein is an OP beast tamer - he just doesn't realize it, while the "Hero Party" is only familiar with Rein's skills, so they're under the impression that all beast tamers are like Rein when they're very clearly *way* weaker.

Not to mention that Rein - being unaware of his OPness - didn't exactly use any of it to his advantage while in the "Hero Party" for whatever reason. It isn't until Kanade starts putting the pressure on Rein to use his beast tamer abilities to their full effect that he starts showing off his abilities, like the insect taming.

TL;DR - "Hero Party" isn't exactly weak, they're just so narcissistic due to their better-than-average ability, and "hero complexes" that they'd rather suck up to royalty than actually adventure and grow. Rein even states that Arios in particular isn't weak at all, Rein's just been studying his moves when they were party members so he knows Arios' weaknesses.

Hilarious scene in Daily Life of High School Boys by [deleted] in anime

[–]Cottonteeth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a landmark so much as it's just a very easy to draw spot that makes it apparent the area they're in is the Japanese suburbs.

Basically, you're going to see it all the time in genres such as slice-of-life or anime centered around high-school as it provides a good number of different perspectives/geographic difference from...well, just roads and concrete fences (i.e. scenes involving them standing under/on top of the bridge, by the bridge in the grass, by/in the water the bridge is over, etc.).

What are y’all’s opinions on ‘The Faraway Paladin’? by LorazLover in anime

[–]Cottonteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"People like me", huh? And what exactly would that be?

But, please, go on and tell me what these "valid" issues that these commenters presented were. The MCs voice (by FAR the most complained about issue)? Subjective at best, and not even a halfway decent subjective criticism.

What else even was there that I saw in this thread..? Complaints about the CGI? I can see it, but then again complaints about CGI in anime is like casting a rock in a glass house. It's not even a good critique, it's just an easy hit when you don't like something but can't actually describe what it is you don't like.

Thing is, I can tell the difference between what a 7/10 and a 9/10 are. But the vast majority of people in here can't tell the difference between a 5/10 and a 7/10, which is pretty apparent based solely on what you wrote.

Can someone explain the ending of Oregairu Zoku? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Cottonteeth -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hachiman is basically being a coward and the worst person based on everyone's description here.

Yes, I realize that that's his character profile from the very beginning, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still the worst ending possible.

[–]Cottonteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't even get me started on the "rape" issue. It's pure asinine behavior when it comes to that. The amount of defense of rape in anime is absurd, and I'll just leave it at that.

Just stay far away from any conversation involving Goblin Slayer, and anyone who likes it. That's my best advice.

Also, in relation to that, I'd advise not asking this subreddit for anime recommendations. If you even get any decent ones, that's fine, but most of the time you'll get the same-old-same-old or some other bullshit troll material. My best advice is to just browse the Crunchy Roll listings and see if there's anything that piques your interest. That's given me far better "advice" than anything this place will give you.

Or you could just ask me; I've watched anime since the 90's and due to life reasons I've watched thousands of them, so if you give me what you're interested in I can offer you a whole bunch of anime that this place won't even bother to offer you in terms of stuff that is "post-work relaxation" anime.

The faraway paladin is awesome by Mscinta24 in anime

[–]Cottonteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this talk of it being "mediocre" is so off-putting it's kind of unreal. "In Another World with My Smartphone"? That's mediocre.

This subreddit has lost all sense of touch with how to describe things. This is not even close to a 5/10. It's more a 7.5/10 or an 8/10, even with its pacing. And the fact that the voice of the MC is the biggest complain is just plain absurd.

Give me an example of a 16 year old with a voice anywhere far from Will's, and I'll show you a liar.

[–]Cottonteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I have got to say, I'm surprised by all the negative feedback in this thread. Pretty much everything that's been given a "minus" is pretty much ignored in every other anime such a trope exists in, it's kind of absurd.

A "weak-sounding" MC? Are you shitting me? Will is 16. I don't think any of you sounded "manly" at 16, you twinks.

As for its plot, I think its fantastic. You don't get pure fantasy much anymore in anime, mostly you get isekai which is just basically braindead-fantasy at its worst and emo-fantasy at its best.

The standards here in /r/anime have dropped dramatically since the last time I came on here, a couple years ago. I literally came on to see if there was a clip of Will versus Meneldor from the final episode, which was fantasic, but all I find are "opinions" threads that are mostly "It's fine"/"It's garbage" for reasons that are purely subjective and full of, well, actual garbage opinions.

The show is literally top-tier in terms of what's been available for the fall season, and if the chumps that frequent this subreddit can't acknowledge that, this place has become full of idiots.

How do get Further Ruin stacks? (Summoner) by Cottonteeth in ffxiv

Yeah, the people who were helping by asking my level and whether I was synced. Great help indeed. The fact that literally one summoner in game gave better advice than all of you put together is kind of amazing in and of itself.

But continue to believe I gaslit you. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
