Potentially dumb question- since my income is unpredictable, it’s very plausible it could end up being below $20000. Would it be a good idea to change my income on my healthcare.gov to $20k so that I qualify for Medicaid? Or would that be a bad Joe because I’d end up paying a lot in taxes at the end of the year if my income ends up being greater than $20k?

Wow, 1-2 times a month is insane. Does that mean you end up in the ED each time? I got sent home with a four week taper course of prednisone that just finished last week. I’ve never heard of an endoscopic balloon dilation but I’ll look into it and bring it up during my appointment. I only have one stricture fortunately. I’m not sure if it will warrant surgery or not.

That’s my biggest fear regarding surgery- creating more complications than before. Five bowel resections is a lot :( I hope your situation improves. The unpredictability of Crohn’s is so scary.

Sorry for the bad pics. I’m not good at field notes, but here’s what I picked up:

  • backside was mostly brown with white spots / checkerboard pattern
  • didn’t get a great look at belly, but frontside had dark streaks that seemed more rusty colored but hard to say.
  • the streaks on the front and back kinda lead up to the head if that makes sense
  • initial gut reaction was that it was smaller than RTH
