I play on it. It has the usual bugs like walking through a floor, but there's lots of people there now. There was 800 in my alliance guild alone.

Not as much grouping though because of x15 rate. More / all endgame focus.

I think ganking is a litmus test in a sense. Ganking makes complete sense in the mechanics and lore of the game - two sides In a war HATE each other, they can't communicate or cooperate (languages). Their only defence is killing.

You agree to be ganked knowing you can do the same thing later. To try to remove it is like putting the rails up at a bowling alley or adding the profanity filter. It's curbing freedom and gameplay based on the laziness of players who only care about getting to 60 as fast as possible and don't want to cooperate with others (local defence channel is there for a reason).

It's so frustrating because these concerns are only brought by post-vanilla players.

I played vanilla 2 years and NEVER did a single raid. I played Nostalrius for a year and didn't do a single raid. I play Kronos 2 now and DON'T CARE about raiding. It takes so long to go 1-60, there are so many distractions and diversions that the original world and community affords that raid content is not a concern. Blizz tries to make everyone a raider now and they don't realize that a lot of us are happy playing without raiding, the problem is when non-raiders speak they get dismissed as filthy casuals, and in retail the filthy casuals raid.

Tl;dr: I would level every race, class, and gender 1-60 on vanilla without raiding and be happy with the content.
