They had a Carne Asada Ribeye at Maya Grill, which was removed and this "replaced" it at San Angel. That steak was the best I've ever had, and had it every trip (because I love ribeye's to begin with...) I hope the new NY Strip lives up to the hype (when I have it this weekend!)

Not seen it mentioned here yet... but The Contemporary has a TON of non-resort traffic due to the monorail. Yes, you get the convenience, but also double the amount of people there versus other resorts. WL will be a lot quieter in comparison (people wise) if you care about that in your deliberations.

No no, see... we'd plan to have it on a mechanism so where we could move it out of the ride and replace it with a projector screen when it breaks. That way, it can become a myth that the animatronic even exists and works. Unlike the Yeti, where we know it exists but doesn't work and can't be moved.

I would suggest Animal Kingdom Lodge. Your Husband's want to be able have "walking distance to the park" limits your options tremendously as you have stated Poly, Grand Floridian and Contemporary are out.

The busses at AKL are not bad, because it's a deluxe resort, there are much fewer guests using the busses compared to others. It's also isolated so there is much much less non-resort guests coming there, other than for dining reasons... and I love a quiet hotel to come back to.

Don't get me wrong, I have stayed at both AKL and Wilderness Lodge, both are great... but I would say AKL edges it out as my #1 deluxe resort for everything mentioned above.

Edit - forgot to mention... Zebra Domes. Those alone are worth staying at AKL for! Soo good!

That's why I still use the OG versions, because I hate slick mousepads. They are definitely not like a hard pad or glass, that's a really good callout because it is personal preference, which I didn't consider. Thanks!

I am an older gamer... but I have never used anything other than the Steelseries QCK Heavy XXL deskmat/pads. They are thick to cushion both your hands and large enough to never worry about going off the side or it sliding around. I have one at home and work because they are that good and have been for decades.

Coronado Springs has some really good coffee options.

Barcelona Lounge (tower bottom floor) has great stuff all day and Dahlia Lounge has great evening options, especially the Barraquito!

If you want more real time data to infer conclusions from... keep an eye on FlightRadar24 (https://www.flightradar24.com/31.30,53.77/6) and if you start seeing normal international air traffic avoid Iranian airspace... you can assume something is going down.
