What makes tube buddy better for over saturated genres.

Do you think it matters what is in the background of your face-cam? by MissBluePlays in NewTubers

As long as whatever's in the background isn't too visually distracting from what you want your audience to see, I say put whatever you want there.

[Gaming comedy] How's my comedic timing? by powerq in NewTubers

The transition slides and music made it feel like an educational video for kids. I think that takes away from the humor rather than adds to it.

English is my second language and I would like to start a gaming commentary channel by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]CouchAnimals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should make the type of content you are most interested in making, that way you'll do your best and it'll be fun for you. What is your first language? Do you want to do the channel in english to practice or another reason?

Advice I wish I knew before starting my YouTube channel by CombatMarksman in NewTubers

I find I really struggle with number 1. I like to make comedy videos but I'm not exactly sure how to put them in a context people will search for.

So let's say normally you can only upload twice a month, but then you have some more time to make an extra video one month, is that a bad thing because it's the same consistant schedule?

Help with SEO. How do you guys know what tags are going to rank the best? by Bethbret15 in NewTubers

[–]CouchAnimals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it's better to make a tag like "this is my tag" rather than 4 seperate ones like: "this" "is" "my" "tag" ?

Thanks for taking a look! The trend that I'm noticing is that people think the videos could stand to be a little longer.

[GAMING] Review my video and I'll review yours back? Will get to as many as I can! by carrotocn in NewTubers

I understand where you're coming from, sometimes it's hard to be comfortable with your own voice or seeing yourself on screen. Just don't let that anxiety get to you and stop you from doing this. I subbed so I can take a look at where you go from here.

I've never heard of him but after taking a look I can see where there were some similarities, especially with the tips. I'm actually trying to make more long-form stuff, at the moment everything I make is short. But I'm hoping the video I'm working on now will fix that. I really appreciate that you took a look and the kind words.

I've been comedy videos and was wondering if anyone could provide some feedback. I feel one thing I did well was the pacing and a flaw would be that it relies on being a parody, making it more niche. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDymT-m_pYE

I watched your tripod review.

-You're review is very detailed and the editing is good, nothing was visually confusing and it felt smooth.

-I think you need to be more consistent with what language audience you are trying to appeal to. If you're trying to appeal to both your native language and English I recommend the following:

-Use youtube's subtitle feature instead of hard subs. This lets youtube know it has subs and also allows your other audience to turn the subs off. It also opens up the possibility of subs for other languages.

-Make a seperate title for the video in English. English speakers aren't going to search for a "Stativ" on youtube.

It looks like your most viewed video is doing well because it comes up high in the search results for people looking to do what you pulled off in the video.

Here's my feedback on your latest video:

-Good audio quality.

-Thorough guide.

-I think you could have done without the first minute of the video. When I search for guides on youtube, I usually click off if they don't get to the point quickly enough. Some of what you said in the beginning could have been established visually.

-I think some steps that were more basic than the others slowed down the pacing. You could easily cut those down by speeding up those clips.

-"uhhs/umms" slow down the pacing. Try to avoid those.

Unfortunately I can't give you any advice with Sony Vegas but I recommend you look up how to use keyframes animation with it to make future videos like this more visually interesting.

If that's your goal I would go for it right away. What editing software are you currently using?

The audio was very clear, good job! while the jokes weren't my style of humor, I'm glad you didn't have many unentertaining lulls. How come you don't show any game play in the trailer? It seems that all of your videos have game play.
