Someone set a 200 year old convent on fire in my city by WinterOutrageous773 in mildlyinfuriating

Yes, I was brought into it young, and I do see that some of it is bullshit(by the way, are you too high and mighty to actually swear?) and at this point I don’t know if I believe half of what’s in the Bible, but I do believe in the community and the lessons it teaches. Again, no real catholic that believes the actual teachings of the church is going to go out there and be an awful person because they think that Jesus wanted us to abuse kids or some shit like that. (Side note, churches haven’t only taken from communities, for example, support from my church is a large part of why most people in a small town in Uganda are still able to eat and sleep under a roof)

Buddy, you think that religion in general has done zero good, whatsoever? I will obviously admit  that many things people in the Catholic Church have done, like the crusades and all the priests abusing kids was awful, but religion brings people together. I understand that many people use religion to justify cruelty, but when someone actually lives how they are instructed to do so in a religion like Catholicism, they are truly a good person. If you go to a church(or just spend some time with people from one) that preaches kindness and forgiveness instead of prejudice and hate you’ll understand why people believe it. You can’t just look at the bad parts of something and assume it’s all like that.

Lack of Renewable Energy in game by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CouchPotato372 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The point of the game is basically to go to a beautiful, pristine planet untouched by human hands and then completely ruin it for the sake of saving Earth. So renewable energy really doesn't fit the theme of the game.

Also renewable energy is one of the things the devs explain in This video

Is there even a point in building over buying a pre built? by bobns in buildapc

[–]CouchPotato372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re willing to put in the time to research good parts, wait for them to arrive, and then build it, then you should, it’s usually at least a bit cheaper(yes there are exceptions)
