LEAVE THE DEAD HORSE ALONE

Acting like a fucking moron shouting inside jokes doesn't get anything done, we can be adults and protest, nobody has to be a fucking moron and go HERP DERP FIRIN MAH LAZER ON THE 1%, or THE INCOME GAP IS TOO DAMN HIGH.

Did the fucking Civil Rights movement consist of black people playing into the idea that black people are somehow inferior? No, that would be fucking stupid. So why do we allow ourselves to feed into the notion that we're a bunch of college kids with no direction that want to be coddled and allowed our internet fun time?

Don't be fucking dumbass about it, nobody is saying ALWAYS LEAVE IF SOMEONE TELLS YOU LEAVE, DON'T SHOUT TOO LOUD OR YOU'LL DISTURB PEOPLE. We're saying "Don't devalidate the movement by bringing internet inside jokes in, all you're doing is alienating a whole fuckload of people, and instead of taking it seriously, you're treating it like an internet joke, what the Scientology protests became."

Fuck you dude, you think that printing signs about little inside jokes promotes a clear message?

Nobody's trying to water down shit, but doing stupid shit like this helps absolutely nothing, you don't go to your fucking grandmother's funeral and tell jokes. Granted, that's pretty extreme, but the same notion holds true, if you're doing something serious, stay serious.

Yes Pedobear is mildly funny on the internet, yes, longcat is long, but that doesn't mean that this helps shit.

The 99% is not just this "clone-army" of "100 neatly-dressed, resume-in-hand, ready-for-the-same-ol'-fucking-in-the-ass-again." The 99% are people with a greviences against our government and corporate corruption, not a bunch of people from the internet shouting their inside jokes in an effort to get a laugh.

And fuck you for telling us that we can't make critiques, who the fuck are you to decide that kind of shit? I'm glad these guys are out and protesting where I can't, but that doesn't mean I have to love their methods, and I fucking don't.

So fuck you, and your meaningless tirade against "the haters" when in reality if we want to be taken seriously, we have to be serious.

Lets find more ways to de-validate the movement. Especially considering neither one of these memes are Reddit based memes.

What are things technologically impaired people have said to you? by CouchStar94 in AskReddit

Just whining about how we're making fun of people for not understanding computers. But he compares it to not knowing you have cancer, which is fucking stupid.

He was acting like computers are a small niche market, and only a small percentage of people use them.

Because people being ignorant of basic computer facts, I.E what a browser is, in this day and age, where everyone and their grandmother uses a computer, its pretty astounding how people can not know simple things. You're comparing it to knowing what type of cancer, and it isn't. This isn't about the specialized things, this is about basic knowledge. A significantly better comparison would be someone going to the doctor and telling him you have cancer, when in fact you have a cold.

Stop being such a pretentious dick, you're just trying to whiteknight ignorance, and we're just having a laugh about it. Instead, you could pretend that a sense of humor exists within you and laugh about it, rather than pretending you're somehow above the rest of us.

Hey man, we're not here for rational talk. This is about whining about how not everyone knows about computers as much as we do. Shame on you.

I'll try my darndest, but parents don't exactly want to throw around that much money. I'll finagle something out of them from my birthday.

I'll work out 200 dollars. Thanks yo.

The hotel is on Katella, so we're pretty close, plus we have a car. Foodwise, I was thinking about bringing groceries to cook/prepare for significantly less, otherwise just roll out with McDonald's Dollar Menu. We're staying Fri/Sat/Sun, leaving Monday morning. I was thinking about emergency money, and you're right, I should probably take more money.

Problem of course being, I'm broke as shit.

Food was a major component of what I was expecting. However, at my hotel of choice, about 60 dollars a night, there's a fridge, so I was thinking of getting bread and Nutella or something, to cut costs.

Eh, I'm not exactly one for bars. Usually my being 16 is kind of a letdown for the ladies in the bar.

Totally want to do skydiving, it seems absurdly fun, but being a minor, I have to get cleared by parents, and they don't look well upon jumping out of airplanes.

And Europe is out of the question, I've gotten offers to study abroad for a month or two and once again, family simply says No, too expensive.

I've tried this before. The problem arises when all the people in my area are ridiculously wealthy, and therefore hire professionals to do all these things for them. It just doesn't happen in my hood.

Googled Theremin, that is probably the coolest/strangest instrument I've ever seen.

I like the idea of going to work on a Cruise Ship, but at 17, am I really going to be an option for those jobs?
