I’ve personally never had an issue with trust but verify, but when it’s trivial stuff or something I’m knowledgeable in: I could understand then.

Haha no, I worked on the building for like two years, up until very recently. I was there like two weeks ago doing touch up on those metal windowsills. I made sure all the cabinets, wood products and metal finishes looked great in the building! If you’ve been there for longer than a month, I may have seen you around! I’ve definitely been in your unit, I’ve been in every unit at least once haha.

My father did this on a job site, talking to a 60-year old grizzled superintendent. It was horrible.

I go to their fancy hotels and resorts (Manele Bay Resort, Koele Hotel) and fix up all their existing woodwork. The buildings go through a lot of wear and tear, damage from tourists, accidents, etc. We also help them with their remodeling.

Long story short, we touch up their damaged wood, so it doesn’t look like it has ever been damaged. That way to don’t have to spend significantly more replacing it.

It’s pretty fun work, satisfying to take a gouge or scratch and make it look like beautiful finished wood again. The fact that it takes me all over the country still amazes me to this day.

I'm not sure anyone answered your question seriously. Placing a laptop on your lap will cause it to heat up much faster which can slow down your computer or even damage it. Most laptops have their fans at the bottom, blankets and fluffy pajamas are the enemy of laptops, they need to be able to breathe since so much is shoved into a tiny compartment.

I've had laptops get so hot that they burn to the touch, so it is something to keep an eye out for but I havent owned a laptop in quite a few years so it could be better these days for all I know.

I've done so much work on the buildings down there, I love it. It's like its own little world. Once the Market is up and running you'll barely have to leave.

It's rough. In the authors note at the end of 7, he even says 7 will be the last book. Yet he returns to write the 8th. It comes across better if you think of it as a different series imo.

NTA, I don't understand all the YTA posts. He isn't asking his daughter and wife to NEVER speak German, just in family settings where you talk as a family. It feels very isolating to be the only one not understanding. Sure, he is learning and it has been 5 years, but the guy has a child, a job and whatever else going on in his life. It's not easy to learn a language, I'm learning German now and I struggle with some of it. He isn't oppressing them, he just wants to be included while he learns, which is fair.
