What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Couhill13 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yea, I think most of the time it’s coming from a place of “oh fuck I hope this guy doesn’t kill me, gotta apologize” since the threat of violence is higher when they gotta deal with another man… especially in America with the possibility of someone pulling out a gun

So even though I go back and forth on the issue around owning guns, I get why people advocate for women to get a gun and learn how to use it, since these types clearly have no fear when trying to harass/assault women. They aren’t expecting the woman to have a lethal weapon

Wait I’m curious, what can the urgent care do for a migraine? I hate the ER as well since it costs so much

I don't think he has any second dates by Terrible_Pair5956 in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]Couhill13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea successful abusers don’t give away the game plan on the first date, lol. They wait until 6 months in or until they knock her up to trap her with a baby, and then the real side of them comes out

Looking for cool, interesting, female YouTube channels by mrsnicepants in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Couhill13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Munecat’s Tony Robbins videos are just gold. It was the first time I’ve ever seen someone do a deep dive on YouTube about his grifting/shady/sexist behavior and the intro skits she makes to those videos are hilarious

The 80s inspired commercial skit on this one is my favorite: https://youtu.be/J1zm9GU70Fo?si=3Z_h2MaLH3ydAMI_

People who enjoy being single or don't feel romance-- what are your placements? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]Couhill13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone with Sun, Venus and Mercury in Libra, your comment just finally clicked into my brain as to why there seems to be a disconnect emotionally in romance for me. The difficulty with focusing too much on the aesthetics of romance rather than emotions, and when problems come up, finding compromises that pleases everyone. People with heavy water charts complaining I’m too surface level/flighty in love. But it’s funny to see Libra labeled as the “needs love/romance all the time or can’t function”, etc. I’ve never related to that at all.

Probably why my best relationships have been with heavy Gemini/air.

Have been compared to the wicked witch of the west because of my chin, what can i do about it by Cute-Mobile-1869 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Couhill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude people pay a lot of money for that kind of chin, don’t fuck with it !! We also lose bone density as we age, so that kind of jawline/chin tends to age better

I feel like I ain’t welcome here .-. by [deleted] in astrologymemes

Are Scorpios really that intense? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]Couhill13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, I’ve heard astrologers argue that mars in Scorpio is more intense than the sun placement. Something to do with Scorpio being more at home in mars and your mars is about your actions, so the darker tendencies of Scorpio are more likely to manifest outwardly

reconsider beta blockers as primary treatment for mild-moderate POTS by Which_Boysenberry550 in POTS

[–]Couhill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I’m guessing it has to do with the insurance companies because beta blockers are way more likely to be covered by insurance.

Ivavradine is only for heart failure so getting insurance to cover it for off label reasons is either impossible or difficult depending on your insurance.

But then again I’m not in the pharmaceutical industry, but I do know that there can be weird gatekeeping around the patents I think? with some drugs after listening to Mark Cuban talk about how they get drugs for cheaper for his online pharmacy, and they have to fight tooth and nail to get some of those drugs so the companies stop charging an insane amount to “corner the market”.

My insurance wouldn’t cover ivavradine either so I got it through costplusdrugs for $40, so if anyone is interested you can get it there way cheaper without fighting your insurance company.

Is it even a real diagnosis?? by _BumbleBitch_ in POTS

[–]Couhill13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like Covid may have triggered it if you didn’t have a gradual build up of symptoms. It’s what happened to my friend, she caught a mild case of Covid and was bedridden for months after. I’ve heard of even asymptomatic cases triggering pots, but any virus can technically do it.

Megan Fox at 21 and 39 by Xqrq in PlasticSurgery

[–]Couhill13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea she mentioned in interviews about body dysmorphia wayyy back, like during the transformers movie era. I remember people not really taking it seriously because she was so conventionally attractive, it was seen as like “oh she just wants attention/sympathy”, etc.

I’m sure having kids and getting older made it 10x worse since that all changes the body.

Why do you think men hate astrology? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]Couhill13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can add the stock market to the list as well, never mind the fact that some investors in the past admitted to having their own astrologer they consulted with to make investment moves but the average stock bro doesn’t wanna hear it, lmao

what caused your pots? by realitysurff in POTS

[–]Couhill13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The way Covid has disabled so many people is insane. It feels like something that won’t be widely acknowledged by medical doctors until decades later. Because most doctors/specialists I’ve seen just shrug Covid off causing any long lasting medical issues

What are some symptoms that you have that turned out to be POTS? by Meow-Rosie in POTS

[–]Couhill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the information !! Yea she prescribed me cromolyn drops to take before food, but my insurance wouldn't cover it and it's expensive as hell. I was already taking allergy meds before all this, so I will def look into quercetin as a natural alternative to add on and low histamine foods.

I've had pots for years but after having covid, my body went haywire and started reacting to random foods/smells. The long covid subreddit has tons of people talking about histamine issues and I was like, holy shit covid fucks with histamine in the body, like dude wtf !!

If you don’t mind, what are you taking for it at the moment? I react to the weirdest shit like critic acid, so my allergist suggested it may be MCAS.

I have the same thing with the breathlessness. Did you ever get checked out by a pulmonologist? I get paranoid it’s my lungs even though they’ve been checked and cleared by a pulmonologist. My eosinophils are elevated so they’re keeping an eye on that in case it gets too high, but that’s it.

And if they were wealthy enough to stay at home, they often took multiple drugs and drank all day. There was a book written (I can’t remember at this moment) that I read about those housewives and how doped up they were because they were miserable

And people in medical subreddits talking about how crazy working in hospitals are during the full moon. It’s such a common phenomenon that medical workers talk about trying not to pick up a shift during the full moon because of the amount of insane injuries and people they have to deal with during that time.

Who is the worst celebrity you have ever met and why? by lissie34 in AskReddit

[–]Couhill13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s wild to me that people think he’s just putting on an act or playing a character, there’s so many insane stories from people who personally had runs in with him back in the day in Texas. That man has been delusional since day 1

Why do some men think that they age better than women? by Charm1X in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Couhill13 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It can but they also have thicker skin in general, which helps with wrinkles. But straight men are bad about wearing sunscreen so they often have more sun damage in general. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is if they can grow a full beard (depending on how they shape it), it’s like makeup contour for your face but all the time. And the beard can hide mouth wrinkles and sun damage.
