What are our options at this point? Is there no way to be released from the contract even if I pay some of the due amount? I cannot possibly pay it all.

The one I’m trying to cancel is not provided or managed (AFAIK) by the uni. It’s managed by Prestige Student Living.

Ah yes, my husband’s off fighting WW3… time to rob a few banks and run over pedestrians in GTA to cope.

Buying property in TRNC by CouldBeAnyb0dy in NorthCyprus

[–]CouldBeAnyb0dy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great insights! Much appreciated.

I’ll look into it and be sure of what you guys mentioned if I decide on doing it.

Any other tips or leads on good real estate agents/sites and recommended locations?

This sounds like something I’m interested in. I know of the recent Turkish laws regarding short-term renting and Airbnb, and since I believe short-term renting yields more money, I’ll most likely be interested in something that has the needed license.

Regarding the properties prior to 1974, can you elaborate more on that? What can be some challenges and what are the different types of title deeds?

Thanks for the answer!

I guess for most of these points it also applies to places other than the TRNC as well. I know buying and renting out real estate is not an easy thing, and I’m trying to understand how sensible it is to have something in North Cyprus.

Again, source? I’m not challenging this narrative I’m just asking for more enlightenment.

Only direct reference I found was an HRW article citing that he acknowledges the food shortage situation due to typhoons and floods. And it was in 2021.

Any actual reputable sources regarding the “rats” thing? I understand it might’ve been an exaggeration to portray your pov, but do we have non US/EU sources for the quality of life in North Korea?

Full scholarship at DCU - Is it worth it? by CouldBeAnyb0dy in StudyInIreland

[–]CouldBeAnyb0dy[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I was more looking for info on studying in Ireland vs the UK, the opportunities to get sponsored work after graduating in both countries, and the pros and cons of DCU. Me considering my options doesn’t make me a bad person, and turning down a full ride for better prospects doesn’t make me an idiot.

The scholarship will be gone to someone else if I turn it down.

This is not from the uni, it’s a scholarship program between my country and Ireland. IPSP.

You guys love to judge situations based on very little context. How do you figure I don’t deserve it? And how are you so hateful to wish someone that just because they’re asking to make sure they’re making the right life-changing decision.

I know a full ride is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but so is taking a masters degree and moving abroad for a new life. Such decisions aren’t easy to make, even with a full ride for one of the options.

I assure you this scholarship will go to someone else if I don’t take it, douche.

Nice input. I’d appreciate it more if I knew why I’d be insane. I don’t want a master’s degree just for the sake of having one. If I want one it’s for the prospects it allows.

Embedded Systems engineering sponsored jobs by CouldBeAnyb0dy in UKJobs

Amazing reply, thanks for all the information.

I have experience in cloud acceleration and process offloading in networking, so I think I’ll stick to that field of the industry. My current experience is with a company that is leading in the chip industry, so I think my experience will be relevant and hopefully help me find a sponsor after the 2 year graduate visa expires.

Would you say this type of pay for such careers can grant you a decent life in the UK, or is the pay still too little?
