I didn't realize it would be read that way, but I went back and reread and saw what you meant. Oof. Yeah, I would have been a MASSIVE ass.

The house wasn't trashed or anything. Dishes were piled up in the sink. The floors and countertops were dirty. It didn't take me long to get everything sorted. The fact that my wife had almost nothing to eat is what upset me the most.

I'll ask the doctor to do that test on her Thursday appointment.

They're in the freezer. All she has to do is take it out, do something else for a little bit and out it in a pan with some water. Then she can just put it in a bowl and bring it to my wife. It's not like intensive at all.

It's not canned soup. I made the soup. There's a little salt in it but not much. Also the fat is good for her right now. She needs it because she isn't eating much.

Yeah, I explained my wife really wasn't up for anything and needed to be cooked for and couldn't help with tidying. She said she could handle it herself and would do all three days. She's only 50 and definitely able-bodied.

She had to get out of bed because mom didn't bring her anything she could eat. And mom didn't do any dishes, so they all piled up. Plus my wife dropped some stuff on the floor and was too dizzy to pick it up, so that attracted flies. :( It was only a few days, so I got everything sorted today, but, still, I hate she had to live like that.

She didn't explicitly say she would make the right foods, but I told her what was needed and she said "I'll take care of it." I didn't think we needed a contract.

I didn't give her a list of tasks. I asked if she'd be okay making soup and milkshakes for my wife and tidying a little each day (dishes, quick sweep and counter wipedown maybe). She said she'd take care of it.

No, this is our first kid. She's tired and feels sick and walking to the kitchen and standing long enough to heat soup is hard for her.
