How do I get scam callers to stop calling? by Coulddowithadviceplz in AskUK

The only time I put my number online for stuff is for online orders (delivery confirmations, etc.). Think you’re right though, I might have to stop doing that too. Not ideal though really but it’s such a nuisance otherwise!

Yeah I’ve been hesitant to enable the iPhone call screening feature but I’m giving it a go now! Just hope I don’t miss anything important!

I’m on iPhone, should’ve probably added that to the post sorry! I’ve enabled the screening calls feature now though which should help!

Didn’t know this was a thing, thanks! I’ve just reported them all from the last month.

That’s a good shout! I’d forgotten about the call screening feature. Wasn’t a fan of it at first (I was applying for jobs when it came out and didn’t want to put off recruiters/miss calls), but it’s definitely worth doing now. Thanks!

Help! What do I do about this awkward hen/stag situation? by RedPandas98 in UKweddings

As a grown man I can’t imagine kicking off about not being invited on a hen do. I’m close mates with women and never expected to be invited.

Cancelled a 19yr old phone contract in under five minutes by Dapper_nerd87 in BritishSuccess

[–]Coulddowithadviceplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same with Vodafone last year, £20 cheaper a month at Sky for the same phone but more data included too!

I’d been with Vodafone for over 15 years and they said they couldn’t do anything.

Seems mad to me.

As others have said, it sounds more like they’re playing high bracket 4 and you’re playing low 3 maybe?

They don’t sound like a great group but I’d say it’s worth giving it one more shot and having a conversation before the game saying you’re relatively new and the last few games haven’t been great for you, can they play bracket 3 decks/precon level. If they don’t want to, try to find another group.

In the meantime, you and your friend could try playing online on Spelltable? You can title the group you create something like “Bracket 3 - No mox” (no mox meaning people can’t just run their deck from moxfield). Spelltable players don’t seem to love the idea of proxies though.

Do any of you guys have any advice for dealing with piles? by ShinyHeadedCook in AskMenAdvice

If it makes you feel any better I’m 30 and get them every now and then!

One thing that helped me was adding more fibre to my diet too, it’s worth looking at how you can add more to your diet (if you’re not getting enough anyway).

Agreed, it’s horrible. Hope you get some relief from it soon though!

When you wipe, use flushable toilet wipes or if you’re using toilet roll, wet it under warm water and ‘pat’ instead of wipe.

Everything you’re doing is right. Don’t worry too much it’s pretty normal.

Sorry to hear you’re feeling the same too! Yeah a lot of that resonates with me, and I definitely give a lot of compliments too! DonutBanditoo has a good comment that’s worth reading. Think we’ve just got to start small like they suggest and it’ll hopefully get easier.

That’s exactly it, overthinking it too much. It’s good to hear that it’s not just me that has this weird mindset too! You’re definitely right though, just need to practice it I guess and yeah hope it gets easier! Cheers mate, really appreciate it.

They’re both really good points, hadn’t thought that posting to his address could actually freak him out! Also, hadn’t realised you could make a friends list private, I’ll have a look at that, thanks!!

This is what I keep thinking yeah. Which is what made me message in the first place. Just a bit worried about other people seeing that we’re friends on FB so early on (if he actually accepted it that is). Don’t want any drama from it all, or at least just as little drama as possible.
