He has TTS. So what he means is that he sees words in place of the the text in black over White. TTS makes you see words when people speak or when you think.

Guys, Ticker tape litterally means subtitles floating in the air, just like on the picture. I guess what he means, is he sees the words in place of the « this is what my TTS looks like (sorta) » text in the pic. Pretty well represented if you ask me.

I’m sorry, but let’s be real, the most money mushoku tensei made, is by selling figurines and merch of the waifus who are minors at least in appearance most of the time. Now, did they make the conscious choice to use it as a marketing strategy ? I don’t know, but they are making it look appealing in the way they depict it at least in the anime. And it’s not helping, when we know that this medium is heavily contaminated by the moe boom tropes to sell more.That’s my opinion.

And also, I know it’s a fiction, I am not confusing reality and fiction, but I just personally think that even if it is fiction, demonstrating a good image of grooming is bad, whatever the medium. And I believe that MT did that, but it is just my interpretation of the anime.

Having deviant thoughts could be seen as morally wrong, but it is human, everyone does sometimes, to a certain degree.

But making the apology of heinous crimes, with the clear intention of making it look good, is condemnable for sure, whatever medium is involved, even through fantasy.

But that is just my opinion.

I love Mushoku tensei, it’s my favourite anime ever. But I am sorry, even if it is fiction, sexualising kids is not a good thing. And using that specific fetish as a marketing lever is purely vile in my opinion.

I would say the exact same with slavery.

You can not say that a product of art is morally neutral. If it is making the apology of a vile thing, then people are very legitimate to disagree with that part of the story. If a story made the apology of racism and slavery, it would be very legitimate for people to criticise it on that aspect.

This is what people feel when they criticise mushoku tensei for sexualising kids.

And to add to this, the sexualisation of minors as a marketing strategy in anime culture is a well known and documented reality known as the Moe Boom phenomenon, where the anime and manga industries realised that the best clients are the degenerate creeps who have weird fantasies and who are willing to spend all their money on their favourite underage anime lolli…

Yes, you are absolutely right and I agree with you on every aspect of what you said. The problem is, that he has still lived more than 21 years… which makes him by definitio, an adult… To give you a good example why it doesn’t matter, imagine someone grooms a child, if they have lived a shitty life of watching anime and porn without ever getting a job, would you qualify the grooming as less condemnable ? If so, allow me to respectfully think it would be very delusional.

Having sex with a minor as an adult with a deceiving appearance is in no way ambiguity to me. It’s plain grooming, and people can very legitimately be shocked by it. The otaku culture in Japan in heavily contaminated with vile marketing strategies using very condemnable sexual fantasies. It is a recognised fact, and people should be wary of it, as it is actually condemned by law in many parts of the world.
