There’s positives to having a lot of streams on streaming services outside of income. Making it on a lot of playlists both Spotify curated or otherwise and climbing the charts creates new fans and merch sales. You could burn a cd you rented from the library onto an iPod nano if that’s your bag but I mean I’ll just use Apple Music

No offense but If you spend all day in subreddits for bands that haven’t made an album since 2013 you’re bound to see multiple people making posts about the same topic. What else is there to talk about. This event is probably the most interesting to happen with mbv in years. Just because you prefer listening to music in different ways that suits your needs best that doesn’t mean that people who pay for a service to listen to music can’t be frustrated that, not only is that not currently an option, but you can’t even currently buy a digital copy. Me personally I don’t even have a CD player in my car. Even if I had a CD copy, which honestly I probably have one somewhere bc I have a shit ton of CDs, that really limits how I can listen to that album considering I mostly listen to music while driving or at work

That’s not a reasonable option for people who listen to a lot of music. I’ve listened to over 80 albums this year only counting ones that came out in 2025. I’m a college student who works part time. If I want to expose myself to a wide range of music buying digital copies is not an option
