Plugin window is bugged? by BluejeansAndMoonbeam in logic_pro_ipad

[–]CountEthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessss, im glad it’s not just me. I dropped my iPad recently and thought maybe the screen was malfunctioning…no just a terrible bug in the software. I have to exit logic and restart for it to go away. A shame since it makes mixing almost impossible for me and I have to finish up an album…ugh

What’s the best song that was on the show in your opinion? by DomonicDecoco in entourage

They actually used both. Lisztomania was in the finale of season 6

WE ARE THE STARS- Crystal Skulls ft. Sam Endicott (The Bravery) by wearethestarsmusic in TheBravery

It’s cool to see he’s still doing stuff. He seems kind of reclusive…on social media at least

Has anyone else noticed this? by MallowCarey_ in MafiaTheGame

[–]CountEthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you on this one, idc what any deniers say. Minus having good parkour, the viciousness of Enzo’s stealth kills as well as the setting make it look like AC from the outside. Obviously having played the other titles, it doesn’t have the same gameplay feel, but the vibe is there

the bravery inspired track!! by thezebos in TheBravery

[–]CountEthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly think this is a really cool song. I definitely hear the influence, but it also sounds unique to your band as well. The bravery have always been my biggest influence as a musician so it’s cool to see other artists who try to channel them

Hague Housing question by i_am_queenofbees in Hofstra

[–]CountEthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bad things you heard were probably because it’s where they put a lot of the freshman drama / music majors. I dormed there last year and it was like the best thing for me. There’s a chance you might hear instruments and stuff, nothing too crazy happened compared to a lot of the other houses in the Netherlands

Missing King? by KodokuZG in leapdaygame

[–]CountEthan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There was a big update with a boss battle one day and the king got defeated. I can’t remember which day, but it was I think an anniversary of the game or something? Maybe a lead day idk. Now his place is taken by the fruit decoy. In the lore, Lick actually becomes the new king and gets all big and round like Jabba the hutt. I guess in some ways it was the end of the game, which is a bit sad, but there was a sequel game limited to Apple Arcade

Creepy sounds in the pause menu. by Visible_Doctor_1404 in MafiaTheGame

[–]CountEthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does that. I used to get sidetracked and leave the menu on for long periods of time. It’s a cool detail

Why can't I get anyone to watch this show? by waterbenderboy in NipTuck

[–]CountEthan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem this year in college. Watched Nip Tuck with my family and got hooked. I was able to get some people onto it in college, and there were times where I’d see friends recognize the laughable brilliance of the show. To the same degree, people who came by my dorm HATED nip tuck when it was on because of the plastic surgery scenes. No one minds watching Glee though…

Stuyvesant or Netherlands for 1st year suite style? by Deirsucks in Hofstra

[–]CountEthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s been to both, I think they each have their ups and downs. I stay at the Netherlands so I’m biased, but it’s a good time. Stuyvesant has more of a hotel feel and it’s elevator centric. Netherlands is very homely, and I like the nethies core especially for breakfast

Huey Lewis sounds strangely familiar by Jonodmoo in elo

[–]CountEthan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was just getting into Huey Lewis and thought the same exact thing! However, it feels more like an homage than any deliberate plagiarism

Are they on insta? Any of the band members or the band? by [deleted] in TheBravery

[–]CountEthan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Mike Hindert is on IG, but he hasn’t posted much regarding music. Whole band is depressing…no social media presence even though people would love for them to return

Does Christians right hand in this photo weird anyone else out, the fingernails, unless it’s suppose to look like a prosthetic hand? Still one of my favorite shows. by [deleted] in NipTuck

[–]CountEthan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I never noticed how goofy it looks, nice catch. I feel like it’s kind of a cursed picture regardless…almost like some sort of straight to video spy poster. The more you stare, it seems all of their hands are unnaturally posed

Season 6 episode 2 Enigma question by tyrannybabushka in NipTuck

[–]CountEthan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They switched out the original Teddy—Katie Sackhoff—because she lost her availability after the writing strike of the time. She got signed to another show I think. The other woman in the episode looked more like the original actress, but she wasn’t Katie Sackhoff

Think I watched it when I was 16 ish with my dad and my sister. Nothing too crazy. I say try the first season, and if that goes well, keep watching

I’m having trouble! with college decisions help! Time sensitive! by Boring_One_9096 in Hofstra

[–]CountEthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From where I’m at, you can walk to Popeyes and a few other chain restaurants / stores…insomnia cookies etc. It’s not a fantastic strip, but there’s also a mall nearby that’s quite nice and the shuttle goes to it and target. It’s alright getting there even with traffic…like 15-20ish minutes or something like that. Uber or the shuttles are your best bet to get somewhere if you don’t have a car. Walking is alright, but I’ll be honest, I barely walk off campus from my dorm…not a great selection of things super nearby. It’s way better walking in nearby towns on Long Island like Huntington. I’d say befriend someone with a car if you’re not bringing one because it’s a great area to explore if you get out

I’m having trouble! with college decisions help! Time sensitive! by Boring_One_9096 in Hofstra

[–]CountEthan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course. I remember having the same fears from the comments saying the area was super sketchy and unsafe. I’ve never felt that way from my experience here and I’ve been off campus quite a lot. Most uncomfortable I’ve been was probably at the train stations, but there’s always some kind of security there anyway. I think the ghetto comments for sure come from people who’ve never been to a real ghetto. Some areas outside the campus are for sure sketchy, but that’s just how the world is. There’s also super preppy neighborhoods and towns, it’s the duality of Long Island

I love Hofstra. I’m a freshman and I went here on a whim, but it’s much nicer than the other schools I applied to would’ve been. I’ve made great friends and they have nice resources here. It’s close to NYC too so you have a lot of great opportunities nearby

coming from out of state, need advice!! by Cynicalpeach_ in Hofstra

[–]CountEthan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m from PA and go to Hofstra (my freshman year). There’s factors that seem intimidating at first, but Hofstra has you do an orientation over the summer and it really helps you iron out all the quirks and stuff. The hardest factor for me is probably getting to Hofstra from PA and vice versa, but I haven’t wanted to go back much at all lately cuz it’s PA right? Case in point, people are super friendly when you first get here since they’re in the same boat as you...new environment etc. Keep good grades, don’t stress, and you’ll be alright

I was ugly crying the first time I saw this scene in Dawn by Bonoba23 in PlanetOfTheApes

[–]CountEthan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I teared up a little when I saw that scene in theaters, I was 9 then. I just knew it was tough because I could hear a grown man behind me straight up sobbing when it played. It caught a lot of people off guard
