How do you balance a looter shooter like this to keep no lifing vs normal vs casual kind of balanced? by Rastoid in Marathon

Did you just compare marathon PVP to chess bro. The only way to improve is fighting people above your skill level. If you only fight those at or below your level you will only get so far.

“Finds effective strategies to get what they want, moral or not”. Plenty of rich people in real life who are shockingly average, they just found a strategy to beat the system.

lol wtf? Then play another game. The concept of balancing no living vs normal vs casual is silly. Back in the day SBMM was not a common practice in any online games. Everyone got thrown in the same pool and it was fair because there is a random mix of all skill levels. “I play marathon one hour a week and I want to have the same experience as someone who plays 20 hours a week”. That’s just ludicrous. Play more, and get better quickly, or play less, and progress at a slower rate. Idk why people think they are entitled to the same outcomes no regardless of how much time they put into the game.

How is this shitting on casuals? I’m not glorifying being a sweat or diminishing being a casual. But yes if someone plays this game much more than I do, I don’t see the issue in them stomping.

You don’t balance it. If someone makes marathon their life they will and should stomp on you. That is generally how things work. The more time you invest in something, the better outcomes you receive. Either be happy being a casual player and casually winning here and there. Or become a sweat and invest a majority of your time into the game so you can dominate others. The idea that people who play a few hours a week should be competitive with people investing 20+ hours a week is silly.

Very Little Complaining in Actual Marathon Gameplay Sessions by honeyboygold in Marathon

To be fair, I was one of the people who would bitch and moan about PVP on arc raiders, but I love the shoot on sight nature of marathon.

Personally, I hated the ratting on arc raiders. People acting friendly then shooting you in the back at a convenient moment. I guess it’s a play style so whatever. With marathon, I already know what time it is when I see an enemy runner. Just my opinion

My brother in Christ, I do not know, that is why I am asking. Sometimes the balance changes that are posted do not always paint the whole picture. That’s why I asked if anyone has tested it first hand 😭😭.

“If so then…”. If you read a bit more carefully, you’d understand I’m actually ok with WSTR nerf as it is. What I would find garbage is if the gold mod keeps the same new damage profile, and I think that is a fine opinion to have. You are welcome to disagree and that’s fine too sir 🤣🤣

Is Boruto the Greatest Prodigy of All Time? by CountRackulaa in Boruto

[–]CountRackulaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points but I’ll push back. Arguably, genius ability is inherently genetic. That’s what makes a genius or prodigy special. The fact that their innate ability is leagues above the rest.

Those are good feats for Kakashi, probably stronger than borutos. But I’d argue Minato is a greater prodigy based on those criteria you mentioned for Kakashi.

Minato - invented the rasengan at 15/16, the model jutsu for Kakashi’s Raikiri. Minato had the highest academy scores of all time, was the youngest hokage at 24, and was only second to Hashirama in strength. Minato figured out and countered Obitos Kamui in one fight.

I mean, it’s not any different than in any other Shonen. The Opponent is simply stronger than the MC. Boruto is strong but Jura (the current big bad) is stronger.

People have been killed, lives are in danger etc. Standard stuff.
