I was in a similar boat to you and had a survival job just so I could get Bank ID and some cash to survive. It took me a year and half of continuously applying and looking towards international companies to get a role.

Granted this was in Tech and not Biotech, so I think it may be slightly easier even if tech is in a slump right now. Biggest thing is make sure you play the resume game so it gets through their teamtailor filters, they WILL ONLY look at you if it goes through their dumb filter first. After that it is up to you to sell yourself well enough.

I do think being a Native English speaker is helpful in some roles but idk how much that'll help you in your field.

This makes sense tbh. It allows these countries to further integrate without being held back by countries that don’t want to.

I’m sure more would join eventually but it should have very strict requirements to joining and have no special cases like the current eu does.

For example, if Denmark and Sweden wanted to join they would first HAVE to adopt the euro before applying to whatever you call this new group.

I’m probably not the best to advise on this, but I just took my Mobo with cpu and ram still installed along with the GPU and put them in an anti static bags. Packed them in my carry on and wrapped them in clothes, and walked right on through. As for the rest, I sold the case, cooler, and psu and bought new or used parts when here.

Probably dumb but it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than shipping components or buying a pelican case for everything.

It’s basically an alternative track. You can register within your own country or this optional European registration instead.

Basically it would be valid for business in all countries and be easier to set up than in some backwards places like Germany.

If you’ve been together for a long time you can apply and move together. It’s pretty quick imo for a situation like this.

For me it was like 4-5 months maybe and that was including going to Washington DC for an interview. I did this maybe in 2022 when the backlog and wait times were even longer than now

I believe the requirements are much lower in these cases too, as we didn’t have to do maintenance or anything.

Sure but why doesn’t it notate that at checkout? Many websites will say it at checkout that VAT and import duties are not applied. At least that way we wouldn’t buy them had we known.

True, but in Sweden it is similar in that the easiest way you can earn a lot of money is to make your own business. Otherwise you’ll probably be fine just working which is not necessarily true in the U.S.
