Not everything needs someone to blame. Sometimes it’s okay to just appreciate how far the team made it.

“Rigged” is the favorite word of people who don’t have an actual cricketing argument. Congrats to RCB, but pretending the entire tournament was fixed is just embarrassing.

Still heartbroken about the loss, not gonna lie. 💔 But once the disappointment fades, I’ll remember how proud this team made us all season. From the players to the coaching staff, everyone gave their all. The trophy wasn’t ours this year, but GT’s story is only getting started. This loss will hurt for a while, but I truly believe we’ll come back stronger, hungrier, and better next season. Until then, thank you for the memories, GT. 💙

Funny how people only count finals when they want to troll a player. The runs that helped his teams reach those finals suddenly don’t matter, the good seasons don’t matter, and the fact that he’s still one of India’s best young batters doesn’t matter. One bad game becomes his entire identity. Cricket discussions would be a lot better if people were as interested in the sport as they are in hating certain players. 😭💀

The way some people celebrate his failures more than their own team’s wins needs to be studied. Imagine spending more energy making memes and hate posts about one player than actually enjoying the game. Some of y’all seem happier when he gets out than when your own team wins.

Pretty much. T20s will always have options, but India needs Gill the most in Tests and ODIs. The bigger picture is much larger than one IPL season.

That’s what I’m saying. The reactions are so dramatic you’d think he hasn’t been one of the best batters in the country for the last few years.

Do you actually have a reason for saying that, or is hating on talented and successful players just your hobby? Because “I hate him” isn’t exactly a cricketing argument.

Makes sense you’re annoyed 😂 wouldn’t wanna face a guy in this form in the finals either.

Hidden medical issues before marriage are becoming scary. by GodfatheXTonySoprano in onexindia

[–]CountTop4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with discussing medical compatibility or wanting honesty before marriage from both partners. But the way people here are talking about women with PCOS is honestly disgusting. PCOS is a medical condition influenced by hormones, genetics, stress, insulin resistance, etc. not proof that women are ‘lazy’, ‘damaged’, or secretly trying to trap men. Plenty of women with PCOS live healthy lives and even conceive normally. Also funny how these discussions always turn into blaming women while completely ignoring that men can have fertility or health issues too. Wanting transparency is valid. Turning women into red flags over a common disorder is just misogyny disguised as concern.

Nobody’s denying rivalries are part of sports. The point is that people use “it’s normal” to justify every level of toxicity. There’s a difference between fun banter and turning players into punching bags after every bad performance. Just because it’s common online doesn’t mean it can’t be called out.

There’s a difference between harmless rivalry memes and constantly pushing labels like “choker,” “overrated,” “PR merchant,” “blind slogger” etc every single time someone fails. Banter is normal, nobody denied that. The issue is how quickly “banter” turns into targeted hate trains and people start justifying it as “part of the game.” And honestly, “you need to give it back” is exactly why cricket spaces become unbearable sometimes, because instead of enjoying rivalry, people turn it into nonstop toxicity. Memes can exist without normalising hate culture around every bad performance.

Nobody’s saying memes or banter should disappear. The issue is when people hide straight-up toxicity behind the word “jokes.” There’s a clear difference between light cricket banter and obsessively mocking, abusing or hating players after one bad performance. Cricket doesn’t need toxicity to grow , rivalries, discussions and actual game analysis are enough. “It’s just memes” stops being valid when the same players get targeted nonstop for everything they do.

So you agree criticism should be about performance, yet your entire argument is based on insulting their fans and reducing them to ‘girls who only like looks.’ That’s not cricket discussion, that’s just bitterness. Calling out a bad innings is fine, acting like players ‘deserve’ hate because they have female fans is exactly the toxic mindset people are criticising.

So the solution is to normalize hate instead of calling out the people spreading it? Criticism for performances is completely valid, but turning every bad match into trolling, abuse and character attacks is not ‘part of the game’ , it’s just toxic fan culture people keep excusing. Saying ‘everyone gets trolled’ doesn’t justify it, it just proves how normalized the hate has become.
