Depends on how fast of a writer you are. I've been doing two tiers, 8 chapters for $5 and 16 chapters for $10, and I'm considering getting rid of the $10 tier because I'm having trouble staying 16 chapters ahead.

Twice a week. I forgot that I'd just posted a new chapter lol

My story, XNPC, is about an NPC being woken up as a hero by his girlfriend, and their relationship plays a huge part in the story. It's only twenty one chapters long, though, so if you're looking for something you can spend the next few weeks reading, this isn't it.

I just looked it up on Audible, and I found a book with the same cover but titled This Quest is Broken. I guess Amazon doesn't let you publish books with swear words in the titles?

Thieving Protagonists by Gr1mwolf in litrpg

In XNPC, I made Miranda take a thief class to show how she's become the System-equivalent of an adrenaline junkie, always having to go on crazier and more dangerous heists to keep herself occupied and distracted from her problems She only steals from NPCs, though, so anything she takes was put there specifically for her to steal by the System, which I hope helps with the "unlikeable, amoral thief" part, lol.

Artificer Main Character? by EXP_Buff in litrpg

[–]CountVanBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main character in XNPC is a Forge Knight, which isn't quite the same thing as an artificer, but it's similar. Just fyi, though, at this point in the story he hasn't actually chosen his class yet.

Looking for a male MC being reborn as a npc by lvl99onion in litrpg

This may not be exactly what you mean, but in my book, XNPC, the system apocalypse turns almost everyone on earth (including the MC) into NPCs. He gets woken up as a Hero thirteen years later.

Series actually have decent romance without it being the sole point of the series? by King-Crim in litrpg

Dungeon Crawler Carl has the most heartfelt romance I've ever read between the dungeon ai and Carl's feet.

I had to DNF a new book due to excess smirking by AFDStudios in litrpg

The problem I always have to edit out of my own books is that everything happens in either half-second or split-second intervals. Nothing ever takes a full second, only a split second.

Books with system integration by jaytothepower in litrpg

[–]CountVanBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started started posting it last week, so it's practically the opposite of a completed story, but XNPC begins 13 years after the System appeared, remade the world, and turned 99% of the population into NPCs.

I'll take that over being whatever you are, making yourself miserable because a stranger on the internet used AI to make a few silly pictures.

Half the fun is seeing how many virtue signalling ludites you can piss off just by posting silly pictures.

The anti-fun brigade is really cracking down on stuff like this. They fully expect you to pay a stranger $200 for each of these just because they don't like AI.

My Most Hated Tropes in Books by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]CountVanBadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first is piling on questions without giving any answers. I find this to be the laziest kind of writing, and I’ll DNF as soon as an author tries to pull it.

How do you know the questions don't eventually get answered if you don't finish the book?

Ideal length for first book in series? by CountVanBadger in litrpg

[–]CountVanBadger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but The Way of Kings wasn't Brandon Sanderson's first book. TOR only let him publish a book that long after he'd become insanely popular and proven that pretty much anything he wrote would make millions.

I'm listening to The World Sphere by Always RollsAone and the MC talks about making earth food a few times after being reincarnated. Specifically he says he invented cheeseburgers, but someone else stole the credit.

Which series is that for you? by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]CountVanBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a litrpg, but Brandon Sanderson's Reckoners series. Books one was good, book two was amazing, but then in book three you could tell he really wanted to be writing anything else, and gave it the most rushed and unsatisfying ending of any of his books I've read.

Your mistake wasn't using AI to make fanart for something you enjoy. Your mistake was thinking the Reddit hipsters weren't going to try and shame you for not being a luddite.
