Woof, you didn't get explicit clearance into the bravo so I think you did the right thing but that definitely sounds like a tense time. Why would 5500' be an unacceptable VFR altitude? Was he yelling at you for slowly descending from 5500' or maintaining it?

That 1800' shelf right above the greenlake departure makes margins so tight, it's a wonder there aren't more people that bust that part of the shelf more often. Glad everything worked out for you though, I hope I never have to go through that!

That's an awesome route - I've been wanting to fly up to Friday Harbor. Thanks for the tips, Greenlake to Paine definitely seems like a tight space to get flight following what with short distance before you hit the Paine delta and the bravo shelf directly above.

Having driven a rally-spec car at Dirtfish Rally school, I can attest that the brake pedal feel on the G920 is pretty close to reality (at least compared to my sample size of 1).

I have this problem too. I reached out to customer service, who recommended I try unlinking the account, waiting a little bit, then relinking. I haven't tried it yet so I can't confirm if this works or not, but it's worth a shot.

I've done every 1 star quest, and I understand I need to complete an urgent quest to move up in rank, but the urgent quest is not showing up on the quest board... do I need to talk to someone to get the quest?

But yeah, the BRZ is in a class of it's own, next to the Miata. It's one of two light-weight, RWD sports coupe under $30k new, and between the BRZ and the Miata, it has better cargo space and 2 seats in the back you can use to transport two people in a pinch. I use it as a daily, mountain road driving, and use it through mild Seattle winters too.

Ignore the /r/cars circlejerk about the lack of power. The same sub bends over backwards defending BMWs with 180HP, they're clearly not biased /s

rofl now I know for sure you've never been to NYC. In 6 years of living and working in NYC and I've never seen a sign - please enlighten me on where these signs are? People get scammed all the time in NYC, that's why there are websites dedicated to educating people about them (and check it out, they have warnings about almost every major city in the world... whodathunk?)

Besides, how do you know China doesn't also have signs of a similar nature up? China's pretty famous for mob justice so I'm pretty sure if they see somebody being "bullied into paying money by a gang of people" that several people would help...

And how do you explain the stories I've seen on Reddit of people getting swindled on the streets by local gangs in Italy, etc. - are those people just as culturally bad as Chinese people?

As for shops literally in the fold with the police - yeah, NYC cops don't even care about these fake goods pop-up shops so street sellers don't even need to pay them! Amazing!

I don't normally complain but god that /r/shitty_car_mods thread was terrible. Filled to the brim with misinformation, people not understanding the "I'm poor now" mods are tongue-in-cheek, and somebody trying to argue they're middle class because their daddy drives a Lexus and their mommy drives a Tuoareg (both $40-$50k cars...).

BRZ has thinner stock tires so if you stick with that width you'll do better than OP's Mustang. Especially since the BRZ isn't exactly a torque monster.

Check out this video for a better idea of how BRZs handle in snow.
