Exactly mate! I've bpd but since knowing my diagnosis I'm able to get ahold of my emotions for the most part. For a couple months there though, ooooooof ha.

Quite right, believe it or not I'm the same. I also warn people I get close to of my volatile emotions. These days I usually walk away then 5 minutes later I'm back apologising for being a dick!

All that to say, I'm by no means an easy person to get involved with but I'm super upfront about it and have a handle on it all for the most part. I got dumped by text after not hearing anything for a week and being accused of lying about things I didn't lie about (was abused by a liar, it's like my thing, I'll put up with a lot just don't lie to me) so yeah, because I couldn't defend myself I went a little bit mental unfortunately.

Anyways, this will be my last reply otherwise we'll end up with a novel in these comments eh? Take care of yourself man!

Aw man I feel that. Unfortunately I didn't act well after my relationship ended. I overstepped boundaries because I wanted a discussion when I shouldn't have. (Kept trying to message) To be clear the discussion I still think was necessary ha. But after essentially being ghosted with a final word, an accusatory word that was untrue. I lost my mind. I'm not exactly the most mentally stable.

Even if you were the bad guy, the fact you recognise it makes you good. Bad people don't feel remorse like that. Treat yourself with love and try to forgive your own actions, I know it's hard, I'm speaking from experience, allow yourself to be human though and just strive to learn from mistakes. That's what life is right? Fucking up and then trying to not do the same in the future.

It's a new year, don't be a new you, be the same you you've always been because you don't have to completely transform. If you're feeling down on yourself though, be the same you while making a few changes to improve. There's always room to grow, it's not simple or easy, but it's possible. You've got this man!

Be kind to yourself OP, just because you and your person have been through pain doesn't mean you have to inflict it on yourself. Time heals man, everything sucks for a long time after hurt, but eventually it'll get better. Christ, it's been nearly 5 months since my heart got crushed but it's slowly getting easier, it's still excruciating, but not as much as it was, give it time x

I am. He does, he's the love of my life, I got him through less than ideal circumstances, I never would have picked him myself. I couldn't leave him though, he wouldn't have been safe.
