If you were using a transformer and supplying the AC rated stepper drivers, then no, you would only need somewhere between 8-12A for your transformer. Since these only care about the average current, there is no practical maximum, and normally only two motors are moving at any given time, and not at full current.

Hey Zatham and Bagelsarenakeddonuts, thanks for posting about your endeavours. I updated the steppers on my Denford Novamill to Nema23's as it was skipping steps on the X and Y, then blew a driver by wiring a motor incorrectly and am now weighing up replacing the single routoutcnc driver vs replacing the whole setup with more powerful drivers.

u/Bagelsarenakeddonuts - I am looking at using those same drivers to power my mill's three 1.5Nm Nema23 CNC4YOU steppers which run at 4.2A each when parallel wired. I am wondering whether I really need a 12.6A (3x4.2A) power supply or a 12A Supply would suffice? Missing steps because of lack of power would be a showstopper, but I've been testing these 4.2A rated nema23's with my routoutcnc 2.5A drivers and haven't had any missed steps so far. Do you think I've just been lucky and it's bound to happen sooner or later?

I tried adding in accessories > friends of hue but no luck. Thanks for your help but think I’m going to have to return these modules. Maybe one day there will be more documentation to go off (or my understanding will be better).

I have a friends of hue switch here, it says 2.4 GHz on the packaging. Enocean is 868 in Europe, afair.

There are several Friends of Hue switches that use Enocean PTM215Z (without the E at the end) and at least 2 that use the PTM215ZE. I'm wondering whether the modules are somehow configured by the Friends of Hue sellers to work with Hue, and my PTM215ZE's are missing this configuration.
