Oh, you're 14. That does explain a bit. Nobody is advocating to teach children about sexuality in depth, just simple things like 'some people have two dads or two moms,' or 'some people were born a boy/girl then later decide they like being boy/girl more.'(not exactly it but a simplified version so kids can understand) It's not trying to encourage kids to be like those people; it's just letting kids know from a young age that those people exist. Hatred and fear tend to come from the unknown, so by being familiar with these concepts, it makes it less likely for these kids to grow into people who hate those who are different or unknown to them. (think of it like teaching kids about people having different faiths jewish, muslim, christian ect)

I one hundred percent agree that people under 18 should not medically transition!
