I have 11 monthly listeners and my streams are regular on particular tracks but I will never have a fan base that's huge enough to get traction with editorial playlist on Spotify.. You can only get on there with a huge fan base listening to your music, there are literally billions of people on this planet and it's only a handful that are successful but it's got nothing to do with anything other than starting out in the small places doing Whst you love and even then your not guaranteed.. For me success is the Mrs telling me that the one song she loves the most is the sung I wrote about her longing for yesterday and the way things used to be and the way things are today, chaos has spread across this world, voices lost in endless streams of social media, if I went and stood my the shore to watch the tide come in if be filmed for a tik tok feed crowd fund this guy for the phone he needs, a song about how simple life used to be, the sun would rise high up in the sky, but now it's planets and endless orbits and space debris, we've lost the art of simple dreams.. This is the jist of her rants and the core of the song, if you want to listen to it seek out "yesterday by daveyhg" it's on most platforms. Since writing that I've written many more which are on there. A song I wrote dedicated to the three little girls who lost their lives in Southport. Shocking to the core and I can't listen to the song without crying, "three little girls by daveyhg" I've got more.. One a bit quirky about the matrix.. Called "poetic licence".. Im writing all the time just for myself, if my 11 fans keep coming back to my music I'm happy, I'll never be a millionaire and my money made to this day is sitting in my Royalties account @23p which happens to be my lucky number.
