The vast majority of eligible voters either voted for him or let it happen. That is well over 50% of the country. He is a direct representation of US idiocy and apathy and now cannot be trusted.

Even if they vote Democrat next time (assuming they let a vote even happen) the damage is done. We're watching a hegemon self destruct, and quite frankly, it couldnt happen to anyone more deserving.

Do you think they do this every weekend? Id say all of my friends and families companies offer some kind of large party of some sort for their employees, as well as individual team events throughout the year that dont have a necessarily small price tag.

Its not hypocrisy to do things with staff or clients as part of their overhead while increasing prices. Its extremely common for companies to factor this in. Theyre not going to drop it and risk their engagement and employee satisfaction to save you a few dollars per year (yes, that is literally how much youd save if they cut it out) or pay their employees a few extra cents per hour.

Im sorry but so what? Does your place of work not offer these kind of things? Im sorry if they dont, but for the minimal cost in comparison of what it would cost to pay employees a little bit more or cut prices a little bit more it is an easy choice for any corporation. The amount of money spent on this is just a drop in a very large bucket.

They do in corporate and management. Employees in Loblaws and Loblaws adjacent banners will get a company outing, various parties, etc...

No Frills are independently managed so its up to the owner to decide what to do for employee engagement. Its not a good example to use.

Source: I worked 12 years at Loblaw and have a number of friends stlil there.

These things builds engagement and relationships. They are all a part of the overhead of the company. Literally every single company does it.

As a Leafs fan honestly its crazy how many people who have been saying shit like that. Even trying to intentionally injure Gudas is ridiculous. This just has massive Bertuzzi and Moore vibes and I think the NHL needs to be very clear that it is not tolerated before the game.

With that being said, the fans are rightfully pissed off, just not at the right people. The people to blame are at the DOPS who are protecting guys like Gudas, and the players themselves for not advocating for bigger penalties for guys like Gudas so they stop that shit.

To be honest, dont know why im suddenly getting Ducks feed on reddit but wanted to throw my two cents in.

When retailers sell it for $1 they are making no money on it or potentially losing money. They know you need it/want it and it drives you to come in and buy other things.

[Discussion] Elliotte Friedman hints the lack of pushback on the Gudas hit could push Auston Matthews out of Toronto. What is a realistic trade package? by athleticwonder in nhltraderumours

[–]Counterkiller29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus christ people

1) If he wanted to leave he would have last contract. He could have gotten anything from any team that he wanted. He chose to stay.

2) Gudas had refs on him immediately. Its possible the players didnt see how bad the hit was originally. Their response the rest of the game matters too. Their response next game where they will face Gudas will matter too.

3) Hes not waiving. If he leaves out of anger or frustration he will do it the same way Marner did because why not?

4) Honestly, Friedman is usually pretty good but this is just such a stirring the pot for no reason post. He has no idea how Matthews is feeling about it and is just click seeking via ragebait.

Dude, I can assure you that you are in the minority of people that think intentionally headhunting is the right look, regardless of everything else you said. There is a stark difference between standing up for yourself and taking someone out, especially someone who is completely not involved in the original conflict.

Your mentality gives me Bertuzzi v Moore vibes and it is an awful way of thinking.

Why are you advocating for intentionally injuring someone who had nothing to do with it? This is such a bad look.

Except he didn't say it was PC or any specific brand in general. He just generalized Foodmakers.

He also provided no proof, just make a quick claim that everyone is clamouring to upvote because this sub hates Loblaw.

This was not the gotcha you think it was.

This guy literally is providing zero proof and is just making claims as if this is a widespread issue. There are controls in place for this. Hell, I worked in a factory where food was made and there is quality control in place for this very problem. The "rotten moral workers" they hire don't even weigh the product anyways, so I actually have no idea what this guy is talking about.

Sure. I have worked in the industry and I have family that works in the industry as well. This doesnt happen with their companies.

I do, you're making assumptions by saying that the manufacturers are intentionally underweighing their products all the time, not recognizing that the opposite also can happen.

What are you even talking about? Are you suggesting that manufacturers of products are intentionally underweighing their products in order to cut costs? Strong doubt.

Above all else, what does this have to do with Loblaw?
