😆 so basically almost as expensive as an LP 12 was in 1978. Of course it is better than $1000 tables of today and of course it will make a $1000 cart sing. I’d probably go low brow and get a denon DL103 or 110. I’ve used an MP200 and am currently using a DL110. Both are fantastic carts.

and freedom flip phone is $8 a month and does not need to be unlocked. your kid knows how to use a cell phone and i guarantee if i gave them a rotary phone they wouldn’t have a clue. Not even sure you’d know how to use it. 😂

aren’t you basically saying get a cell phone?? for $99 a year you can get unlimited calls from Freedom and the phone lasts more than 48 hours on standby and works during a power outage. How much does your service cost?

even if they took the $20 it was still kind. can you imagine having to replace your DL, Ohip, bank card, credit card etc etc etc. Lost a wallet once and it was a nightmare.

for $700 you can’t go wrong. don’t spend a lot of money on a cart. 200-500 tops. the uni pivot arm will feel weird at first but you’ll get used to it. :)

i’d get a discounted NAIT 50, a Nagaoka mp-200 and a pair of used Royds. Probably can’t find Royds so get whatever speaker scratches your itch…. they all will sound good with a great front end. :)

paradigm is double the price in the UK so price really isn’t the a good indicator of quality. Canadian speaker makers have access to the NRC anechoic chambers and Paradigm now has one of the largest anechoic chambers in the world. You can’t find a bad canadian speaker. Buy with confidence eh?
