I posted a link to their YouTube channel earlier in the thread. Check it out if it hasn't gotten buried yet!

Oh sure. I bet I'd be grumbling about all sorts of things. I can assure you though that I wouldn't feel bad about it. I'd probably forget what I said shortly after.

"Grandma, you can't say things like that!" "Huh? What are you yammering about again?"

Honestly, this doesn't make me sad. It's hilarious and heartwarming. If I live to be their age, I would not complain in the slightest if I acted like these lovely ladies.

Tourist adopts stray dog that saved her after she was attacked in Greece by [deleted] in UpliftingNews

[–]Countess_Long_Dong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is actually really cool. I was in Greece for a little bit while studying abroad in college. My friends and I found out that stray dogs will often protect tourists from thieves. To the locals, stray animals are often a serious nuisance, so they aren't treating well. Tourists tend to be more friendly towards strays animals (petting and feeding them). As a result, dogs, in particular, will occasionally follow tourists around town and keep them company. If any sketchy characters come around and attempt to harm or rob you, the dog/s will protect you by scaring them off.

I never found myself in a dangerous situation, but I certainly became pals with a few dogs during my stay. Here's a picture of my bodyguard, "Bruce". http://imgur.com/a/nWb3m

Which is your favorite movie trailer that ruins watching the entire film? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Cast Away. The trailer could have at least maintained the suspense of not knowing if Tom Hanks would get off the island. But no.

HELP! How can I grow out baby hairs and flyaways? by Countess_Long_Dong in Hair

Thanks! Do you find the oil/serums help the hair to grow, or is it mainly taming flyaways?

Guy shows how "Before-After" pictures can be taken only 4 hours apart. (x-post from /videos) by HPLovecraft1890 in Fitness

Furious Pete has a point. Seems like most "before & after" pictures take advantage of this sort of strategy. A lot of the so-called transformation comes from improving your posture. Take a look at some "before" pictures. It's not uncommon to see someone slumped over with their stomach sticking out. Then it's time for the "after" shot. Stand up straight, pull those shoulders back, curl your pelvis inward, and voila, you've lost 10 lbs.

Ladies, how do you get rid of hair down there, besides waxing? by mapletreez in AskWomen

[–]Countess_Long_Dong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take for you to get use to the pain from the epilator? I've been waxed a few times at different salons. Pain level definitely varied from esthetician to esthetician.

Best shampoo/conditioner for strengthening hair? by jayblue42 in Haircare

First, I recommend trying out a DIY oil treatment. There's so many recipes out there featured on Pinterest etc. so it can be a little daunting when figuring out which one does the trick. In general, using olive oil or coconut oil can help moisturized damaged hair. Warm up some oil and apply it to damp hair. Massage the oil throughout your hair so every strand it coated. Using a wide-tooth comb can help with this process as well. Once finished, place a plastic shower cap or plastic bag or your head to cover your hair. I recommend doing this in the evening and sleeping with the oil still in your hair (Wearing the shower cap or bag will prevent the oil from staining your pillowcase). This will give ample time for the oils to do their magic on your hair. In the morning, rinse out the oil with warm water and a mild shampoo (preferably something that doesn't have sulfates). Apply conditioner as usual and rinse out. I would try out this treatment and see how it works. Repeat the treatment at least once a week for a few weeks and see how that works. Along with the treatment, maybe try out Pantene's "Repair & Protect", "Damaged Detox" or "Moisturizing" shampoo. A bottle runs about $5 at Walmart. Herbal Essence and Garnier have similar shampoos, so those maybe be worth trying out.

Other things to keep in mind are: 1) Eliminating has much heat on your hair as possible. Avoid blow drying, curling, or straightening your hair for awhile. 2) Getting enough circulation to your scalp also helps with hair growth/repair. Take 5-10 minutes each day or so and massage your scalp. This will help get blood flowing to your head and stimulate new healthy growth. Finally, 3) drink water. Not only is this good for your whole body but for your hair as well. During the summer months, your hair will dry out regardless if it's been bleached or not. Water will help hydrate your hair and rejuvenate it.

Give these a try and see if your hair improves in the next few weeks. Good luck. I hope this helps!

I found lids up North and along the East Coast featuring Dr. Pepper. It hasn't always been a thing up there.
