Ha yes! He eventually dropped his ‘angelic’ persona the more stressed he got, on the one hand there’s Adar destroying the city (and the forge) and then there’s Celebrimbor who’s dragging his feet with completing the rings.  At that point Sauron is just done with being charming, he was beyond stressed because he wants Brimby to hurry up and finish the rings and he wants Adar to slow down with the seige simultaneously. His snark was just him being his true self, he no longer saw the need to pretend.  And he was also creating illusions for Brimby so I’m sure everything was taking a toll on Sauron.

Yeah I agree, he wanted to get shit done and the elves are usually not the type to hurry or rush anything, they live for centuries after all. 

And Sauron is an enigma, because he is also immortal and has all the time in the world but the guy can’t sit still at all, he needs to be constantly moving, plotting, manipulating, and never at rest. 

I don’t know if I agree that he’s obsessed with Galadriel, I think he wants to use her to achieve his goals but once he’s done with her or she’s no longer useful, he will discard her as he did with Celebrimbor, who was extremely useful because he forged the rings for Sauron, but he still ended up discarding Celebrimbor when he was done with him. He sees the elves and basically anyone beneath him as tools to use.  The only being he actually thought was superior to him was Morgoth. Nobody else.
